Finally orderd my VK! Can you help with the nicotine level?

I first orderd the blu cig but then soon cancelled my order... and after doing research I was planning on buying the 510 but ended up ordering the VK... Hopefully it was the smart choice

So I ended up ordering alot at once... don't tell me why but seeing all those flavors got me uber excited and I ended up purchasing the Ultimate Ultimatum starter kit, 7 juices, and 3 different order or carts.... (yeahhh i got carried away...)

Now I have some questions... I normally smoke Dunhill menthols that have a tar level of 6mg and nicotine level of 0.55mg. I smoke about 3 to 5 a day (some days not smoke at all) and if i go out (drinking) I can smoke an entire pack or more... For my first order I ended up purchasing all the juices and carts at 0mg nicotine level... was that a smart choice? I was afraid after seeing the 8mg nicotine level, that the 8mg might be too much. If the cart is 8mg, what does that equate to for each analog cig? If you bought a thing of juice and the juice says it is 8mg, does that mean each drop is worth about 8mg or the entire bottle has 8mgs worth? I'm confused on how this nicotine level is supposed to equal out to a cig... Any help will be greatly appreciated! (and how to make the nicotine level lower...)

I hope that I made the right choice, and that vapor4life will be here for a long time to come for all my shopping needs

PS. how many drops/refills can you get from one 5ml bottle of flavoring? and has anyone tried smoking these on the plane yet? I'm in an airplane/airport about 9 hours every 3 days so I was hoping to use these on the plane...

Hey there!

I can probably answer a few of your questions.

If I burn out my carts, a small bottle of nobacco will fill up 5 empty carts, with a bit extra to spare. I can usually fill up 6 or 7 carts with various degrees of emptiness.

Given your smoking habits, your question is a tough call. If you only smoke 3-5 a day, then yeah, I wouldn't go higher than 8, but I'd also question using nic at all, so perhaps 0 MG is the best way to socially smoke, if that's your desire.

Personally, I'd have a bit of 8 mg on hand if you do find yourself in a bit of a nic fit.

Another thing.. does the previous flavor of a cart change the flavor of the juice added?

For example if i had the mint cart and smoked it all and filled it with vanilla will the flavoring turn into vanilla mint? or will be be pure juice flavoring? and any ideas on a good way to mix juices? (are you supposed to be mixing juices at all?)

Yes, surely, since the only way to totally get rid of the previous flavor is to rinse out the carts.

If you are lazy like me, fill the carts with complimentary flavors...aka VANILLA and RASPBERRY, VANILLA and ORANGE, etc.

Rinsing isn't that tough, and there are threads here about that. Possibly in a sticky. I don't have the link on hand, but someone will post it surely I bet.

The mixing is half the fun, actually. For example, I don't like my VK raspberry that much for some reason, but when I add some vanilla juice to it, damn....it works! Just do a few deep vapes on a raspberry cart, then drip a few drops of vanilla, and I am set!

I did the exact same thing: ) I placed my order for the vk on sunday as well as cancelling my blucig order and now my vk is in route....I cannot wait...

The nicotine measurement is in milligrams per milliliter. The VK cartomizer holds less than a milliliter (nominally .8ml), so at 8mg/ml you're talking 6.4 mg for the whole cart. That's not a whole lot, considering that a cart is at least ten cigarette's worth, puff-to-puff-wise. I'm guessing 8mg would work just fine for you. There are absorption rate differences to consider, but I'm talking rule-of-thumb generalities.

Ive found that trying to figure it out mathmatically is not what works best...there are different throat hits depending on various factors, and you have to determine how much you will vape. Although similar, smoking and vaping are not the same and most people end up vaping more.

Many do as I do and vary their intakes throughout the day... I vape high nic carts in the morning and level out to mids and lows in the afternoon and evenings (although I suggest when first starting out always have a high/med handy to help with sudden nic fits!

I usually tell people to start out with mid levels...11mg-18mg and then dial into their particular style.

Higher levels can be cut down with glycerin...if you have some too low, well, save them for when you want flavor and not that concerned about nicotine (while drinking maybe)

Steve and company will help you get dialed in, leave notes in your orders regarding your experiences and he will hook you up...he seems to have a sixth sense as to what people need tin order to make them "SMILE"!!!!

How do you cut them down with glycerin?

I just ordered some higher level carts (18-24 I think) and after reading this thread I might have gone overboard. I had some 11mg, and I was still having cravings.

If they turn out to be too high, how can I cut them down? I've got a bottle of glycerin...

In a cart...just add two or three drops...it will cut back on flavor, if its a bottle of refill just add what you need half/half equals half the nicotine...try a little at a time till you reach what you like.
