AWww! What a face! She is totally adorable. I hope someone adopts her and gives her a home. She's got to be part Siamese with those blue eyes and her chocolate tail and other markings, I'll bet mommy or daddy was a Sealpoint Siamese. Good for you for sponsoring her.
Hey fwm! My fuzzy kids want to meet your Sophie! Teddy, on the left, is two years old and Baby Lulu is one. They are so cute together! On a sad note, (what is it with so many of our pets recently?) Teddy suddenly lost his vision three weeks ago. He "blew" huge cataracts in BOTH eyes in ONE day...I rushed him to the vet when I got home from work and realized he couldn't see, but we couldn't get him an appointment with the eye specialist until this past week.
Teddy will be having surgery on both eyes this Tuesday (can anyone say "cha-ching"?) and if the retinas are still attached, he is expected to regain much of his vision. (One eye has so much pressure behind it that they still can't even FIND his retina...YIKES!!) So, I've got my fingers crossed that all will go well and my T-Man will be able to get his lights turned back on. Two years old is waaay to early for a pup to go blind...but if need be, I'll just be his "seeing-eye human" and love him through this the best I can. (He has already adjusted amazingly well...I'm the one who isn't dealing!)

Dreamchild, those Bichons are the bomb! I had to put my girl to sleep in May of this year, she had cancer and was 12 years old. Found her as a stray, can you believe it? She was my shadow. Sometimes I still think she's here at my feet when I'm typing. Sob!
I hope your puppy is OK. Yes, I can hear that cha ching loud and clear. It's a revolving door to the vet around here and something new almost every day with so many around. Luckily, I can treat a lot of things like colds and eye infections on my own, but those cataracts, wow! What was quick.
Today officially sucked! I have the mother of all head colds, someone has driven an axe in one side of my head and is beating on the other with a hammer, my throat hurts so bad I don't care to talk and my left ear feels like it's going to explode.
I had a long story with a lot of details, that I don't think many would like, so long story short Kitty is in a nice pasture by a creek where he can sleep and dream of chasing critters. I hated doing it, but he could no longer even crawl.

Oh, Sawlight, I'm so very sorry! I must have misread your other post, I didn't realize this was happening now. (((Sawlight and kitty))))
May all our kitties be waiting for us on the Rainbow Bridge when our time comes.
I'm so sorry sawlight, hugs and a virtual shot of nyquil.![]()
Hugs sawlight, one of the hardest thing I ever saw happen was when my dad had to put down his dog Lady.
Such a sweet and intelligent dog. I have to share one of her stories so you all know how wonderful she was. One day a friend of my mothers was visiting with her five year old son. We lived on a farm and he wanted to go home! They thought he was just in the front yard but he had decided he was going to walk home. Lady followed him and would not allow him to walk on the road, she would just nudge him off the road into the ditch. He came back mad as hell that the dog wouldn't let him walk on the road! The grass was a bit high in the ditch.
She was very old and so full of arthritis and even started loosing control of her bladder. She was a yellow lab and my fathers best friend and duck hunting buddy. It made him cry when he got the gun and she perked right up and it broke his heart that he had to put her down. But she went quickly and her best friend was with her.
I have other pets waiting at the Rainbow Bridge but Lady was and always will be something very special. It's been over 20 years but I still think of her and with so much love. I feel honored I knew her.
