I contacted V4L and they amended my order and will ship a gun metal battery instead of chrome. Yay!

Welcome Chee Chee (and husband). I am willing to bet that your husband is absolutely going to LOVE his KR808 from V4L! Excellent choice! I feel your pain when you talk about information overload! I felt the same way @ first. Just remember that if you have any ??'s or concerns just come onto the forum ~ I have always found everyone here so incredibly helpful it sometimes brings tears to my eyes! (Even when I asked some really DUMB questions ~ they have always been here for me!)

I ordered the VAPOR KING-Ultimate Ultimatum Automatic Kit. I have used the GS before and hear this is better than GS. Currently I direct drip with a SS Choice No. 7 micro PV. it is something like a smoking everywhere model. It works well but I miss the GS. If the vapor king is better, I can't wait!! I was looking for something that is cheaper than GS on replacement parts. I have had my micro for a while and the batteries are dying so I thought I would go with the vapor king.

Great choice on kits! That is the kit I got also. I love V4L, but I have not used any others, but I have no reason to want to. The customer service and the community out weigh anything I could get from any other vendor!

I have a question about the cut off time on the battery. The GS has a 3 sec. cut off time which drives me crazy. Is the cut off time on the VK longer??

I don't know where to post this and I am hoping it is ok here ....

So I just received my starter kit today from V4L and I had to chime in and say how awesome it was! As a super newbie - it was a small one to test the waters... they threw in extra stuff?!! They threw in 3 carts for me to try!!

I had seen posts that they really watch out for their customers but as a first time buyer with no previous order history I certainly did not expect that. It is rare to be treated that way even at our individual local haunts but I can honestly say I have never had that sort of gesture made on an online purchase Any company that treats it customers that way will gladly have my repeat business and not just for the bonuses ( I did love it though!!) but because whoever picked them put thought into what a stranger might like based on my other choices!!

Sometimes it is nice not to feel like just another order # on the assembly line ... so cheers to Vapor4Life!
