Hi All! I just started vaping 2 weeks ago and I absolutely love it. I did not quit smoking "cold turkey" but did cut down to 1 a day right when I received my 1st kit, and have not had an analog in 2 days. ( Nor do I want to) I originally ordered the kit from Green Smoke and I really liked the hit and vapor, but I hated the flavors. I ran across a guy who had a V4L and I loved the taste so I ordered 1 the ultimate ultimatum kit that I received yesterday. The flavors are amazing but my throat is extremely sore. I have read that this can occur to people who are allergic to PG, but my friend also told me it goes away after 2 weeks. Any advise would be appreciated!
Hi and welcome Stealthy! I have to say that I never had the sore throat syndrome, except in the morning. The only time that my throat hurts in is in the morning and it usually goes away after about 30 min to an hour. I do not know if this is because I'm vaping, or because I'm not smoking. Does your hurt all the time? If so then you might just try some VG Carts and see if that makes anything better, but it might just be the fact that your lungs and throat are clearing up from not having any tar all around them.
We are happy that you have come to the V4L family and wish you all the best at vaping.
Vape On!
Hello all, happy to say i am a new e-cig-ger, i have a V4L and it has been 3 days, no regular smokes since then, i want em, but, i have resisted. i am hoping, the urges cease...
anyway, happy to be here... and not there.. and no longer stink ! whoo hoo !
i have been hitting it like nobody's business! seems to be doing the trick..
the weird thing is it always seems like i am missing something.. like i need to do something..maybe its the old constant need to go smoke......feels weird, but i gotta say, after a few days, my mood has improved some too.
quit smoking and be happy? is it possible?
i have not gotten a headache but i have had the 'ol pumper pounding at times..
I picked up some cartridges of 555 (good and full flavor) at a step higher than my usual nic content for just those moments where I felt the regular flavor / nic just didn't cut it.
I tried an analog after my third day completely free of them (ran out of supplies from my first e-cig kit) and found them to be utterly disgusting and intolerable (the SAME ones I had been smoking for ~12 years up until I started vaping). I even needed a reminder smoke 3 days after that (while waiting for my first VK and V4L supplies shipment to arrive) of exactly how nasty my previously favorite analogs really are. Like an idiot I had to try twice to make sure I wasn't missing anything, and now I'm really glad I did that as I have a reference point and don't have to sit around wondering ever again.
When I got my buddy started on vaping last week I told him to keep a couple of analogs around intentionally for the express purpose of making sure he didn't end up feeling like he is missing something and regretting the decision. As I experienced, he too tried to do analogs after a few days of only vaping after his starter supplies ran low. Now both of us have no intention of ever picking one up again even when we feel like we are "missing something" or run low on supplies.
I seriously think the carbon monoxide might be what we felt like we are missing because it would contribute to making a stronger high (asphyxiation style). But I really have no intention of trying to replace or replicate that. I'd rather just use a slightly higher nic content and get a momentary nic buzz than do analog ever again.
Burnt-Toast
Welcome DanS and Burnt! Glad you two are with us! The headaches seem to go away after you know what nic you should be running at and also slow down on it a little. Of course when you get those big orders in and you just have to try everything, you will still get them.
Jeff,
Thanks for the warm welcome and I appreciate your support. I am a little confused, so maybe you can help clear this up. I originally bought a Green Smoke kit from Greensmoke.com, loved the hit and vapor but hated the flavor. They did not make my throat hurt the way V4L's did and the carts were PG's. Any idea as to why the V4L's have this affect? The Greensmoke's were very smooth on the draw and produced a huge amount of vapor, but they are expensive, flavor lacking and do not have PCC's.
Thanks,
Steve
Probably a stupid question, but how do you tell when a premium cart is tapped out? Same as a regular cart, IE the slight burnt taste? I'm asking because I just got some premium carts, and I've been using the same one for over a day now. I'm amazed this thing is still going if it's not already dead.
Larry, as with all carts, it depends on as soon as you lose flavor/vapor.
How long it lasts depends on your personal vaping style.
I WISH mine could last as long as yours...lol...but refill OFTEN....try not to wait until they are "empty".

Hey guys, quick question. I just got a VaporKing and have a question. I ordered a whole bunch of sampler packs which is way more fun then anyone should have. Anyway, I swore I would use one carto until it was done and then switch so I didn't get too much going at once. Ok, so big order, obviously not that much self control when it comes to vaping and in addtion to the kit, I got 2 extra battaries. So I'm sure y'all know what happened. Yep, currently have 4 going at once and its all I could do not to add some to the rotation, because, nifty little condoms for when they're not actually on the bat, right. Anyway, I'm wondering, will the cartos dry up if they're capped and if so, how long do they last? I'm of the frequent vaping school of thought, so it won't take me forever to finish them, but I don't want them drying up either. Any thoughts?
