Problems refilling premium cartos

I didn't see it mentioned here, and I know it's mentioned on another thread, but I'll repeat it here, as it's what I do:

After I use any cart up the first time, premium or not, I pop the end off & grommet out and don't use them anymore.
I take one of the old silicone endcaps (the ones without any plugs attached) and use a ballpoint clicky pen, with the nub retracted, as a 'cookie cutter' (the tiny 'O' ring end of the tube where the pen nib comes out) to press a hole out of the end of the silicon condom. that is: I sit the condom on my laminated desk:

If I use a plastic pen (usually all I have) I sometimes need to mash/rub the whole thing against the desk a little to get it to cut through, but only takes a few seconds, and ends up with an 'over-cap' that works a charm.

As it slips on and off so easily (usually after you use it a little, some juice gets between and lubricates it a little) I tend to refill often, keeping it topped up mebbe 5-10 drops at a time.
This ensures I don't dry it out and keeps it tasting fresh for a good amount of time.

Yes, however, it is a little messier than the 'proper' refill and putting grommet and cap back on, but I'm fine with that.
Also, I like how I can keep it gripped in my teeth a lot easier with the silicone over the end.

For those who are using the condom with a hole method... is there any leaking afterward, or during storage?

I tote carts in a pocket in my backpack. I use the condom to cover the mouthpiece (keep it clean) and prevent any leaking. I am concerned that cutting a hole in the condom will allow the cart to leak.

Any findings on this?

I have to agree they don't seem to last as long using the CCFM, but then again they're soo easy to refill it hasn't been bothering me. But in any case, I can only seem to get 15 or so drops in at a time. I'm not sure why I am getting the empty cart taste so soon if it's still half full. So, I'm going to start experimenting with giving it a Taryn spin and see if I can get more in that way.

Not much I'm afraid. I learn a few words and phrase here and there, but I never have time to really study, and I'm getting by without it too easily to really force me to learn.

Use the cap from the battery end of the carto. Turn inside out and cut off spike. Makes perfect hole.

I've tried all the methods now with the premiums. The needle refill makes the cartos hard to drag from permanently from what I can tell...I don't like the condom refill effects: a little messy and doesn't last long. I'm going back to breaking caps and using condoms as caps. Dripping works great in the premium cartos I am finding!!! The "Taryn Spin" works VERY WELL with the dripping on the premiums also from what I have tried.

One thing I don't like about the premium is the small batt-end hole. Blowing out is a chore...Now that I'm taking the caps off I guess I'll try the reverse blow-out tech. Running hot water through is also less effective due to small hole. Oh well!! I like em!!!!

I have no prob. breaking the end caps off I've got plenty to go around. I just have had a couple where the very top breaks off and some of the white plastic is still stuck on the inside where as I can't put on a new end. I can do the condom hole thing and for around the house it's no biggie although I really don't like the feel of it. Anyway it sucks when it doesn't all come out and I don't know what to do about it... I guess just something I'll have to deal with. When I get my Mocha cartos I'll just have to do the condom refill method... meh.. refilling them that way just doesn't seem to last as long.

I had the same issue with part of the cap remaining inside the carto. I took some needlenose pliers and pulled it out, scraped out any remaining glue and now the old white caps fit fine.
