I told him it would only be weird if I gave it to him packed up with all his stuff...
Tech, it sounds better than what my hubs gave me for our 10th anniversary. Your going to laugh.....drum-roll. A outdoor grill. I really wanted something else. Now I tell him I will buy my own gifts.

    Probably...
I don't know why I just have a huge brain block about the date.
Hubs remembers the date, but can't remember how LONG it's been.
He swore it was our 20th, and I had to get out the actual certificate to prove it's only 17 !

My favorite was the year I got studded tires. Oh wait, that was Christmas...
I really would rather just buy my own too.
Plus, men in my family are REALLY hard to buy for. They just return whatever they get, and I hate giftcards.

Too funny! Hubs wants me to plan something for our 25th next March. I have no clue. He is thinking a trip.

Sd & tg, are both of you nurses? What kind of nursing do you do?
I always wanted to be a nurse, but as has been discussed, I throw up too easily.
I have several nursie friends, and the OBGYN one has the best stories. The ER nurse I know never tells ANY stories!

Tech your tires sounds like the blender I got one year for anniversary. Why do men think that blenders are a gift? I refuse to let him buy me any more gifts. I don't buy him anything either.

Oh, I'm sorry Sd & Tg, but the Mentalist is on (I am a few hours behind ya'all!) - so I'll be leaving soon.
I may be back, surfing with the tablet if I can find the forum on it!

Tech, I work in long term care and rehab. Rehab is short stays post hospital. Oh, the gross stories I could tell you. However, you have a weak stomach. You are spared! I use to work full time 40-60 hours a week but ended up with burn out. I wanted to go hospice but after my mom died I changed my mind.

She may just be trying to forget them, LOL!
I worked in the cardiac ICU for a few years, then went back to school and got my masters in nurse anesthesia (the crna in my name stands for Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist). I've been an anesthetist for 10 years.

Wow sd. That is hard work you do! My Dad was in short stay a couple of times before he passed away. He was very cranky to the nurses there! They were very kind to him in spite of it....
I thought the hospice nurses were really wonderful when my Mom passed away. They came to her house 3 times a week and
were really awesome. Tough work though!
OK, gotta go. TV is calling!
