I just love this GP family and my GP devices. Thank you Perseas for being the foundation of this great community of integrity.

I'll see your kitty and raise you a gecko.

Oh my , I LOVE Leopard Geckos, the females especially..... Such pretty, sweet and almost too docile little lizards.... I had one for years and when I got married and had my son, I felt I was neglecting her so a good friend "adopted" her and last I heard she was still alive. I think she was 20?

I will raise you ? ( im not a card player....)

When I moved here, to Florida, I was fascinated with the lizards. Not something I had any previous experience with. I spent hours and hours and hours, watching them outside my lanai. I put large rocks out there, to attract them. They like sunning themselves on top, and at other times, they take shelter underneath. I watched how they interacted. I watched their mating. I had many conversations with them. It was all so fascinating.

One day, at a local place, I struck up a conversation with a man. I shared with him what I had been observing, and had learned. He then asked: "Tell me, how many cats do you have?".

    Hmm....

    Life is funny!

So my 4 1/2 year old daughter is now really wanting a small animal pet. We have a cat and goldfish.

We have been researching geckos and hamsters. I'm actually taking her to a hamster convention at the end of the month. And we went to several pet stores where she handled both.

I bought books and told her we had to read them and learn how to care for them and if she showed dedication to learning and more care for our existing animals she could ask Santa for Christmas.
