    Default Lavatube Configuration

Hi, I am currently an Ego-T user and would like to purchase a Lavatube (probably the new Vision TOX version) but I am confused.
I am very happy with the easiness of the tank cartridges in Ego and would like to have something similar to that but there are different type of cartomizer options. I guess I want to use clearomizer but am I supposed purchase some cartomizers to put inside it?
And everyone is telling something about ohm's. Is there a post which explains this in detail (probably for dummies version )?
    Thanks...

You can use anything with the Lavatube that you can with the Ego, just purchase a 510/Ego adapter and it'll have the outside threading of the Ego as well as the 510 connector.

510 Battery to eGo Atomizer Adapter

Clearmoizers are cartomizers, here's a link so you can see them.

    FLüXomizer™ 510 Clearomizer : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

You don't need to buy anything to put in them. You can buy a tank which holds more liquid an use the insides of the Clearomizers in it if you want to go that route.

With ohms you want to stay pretty high on the Lavatube and there's really no need for low ohms on a vv mod as lower ohms are made to simulate higher voltage vaping, with vv you can adjust it up and have higher voltage vaping. Lower ohms also pull more current and can cause the over current limiter in the Lavatube to automatically adjust the voltage back down. I'd recommend staying around 3 ohms with it, that should give you the most usable voltage range.

This was really informative Nomoreash, thank you. Why do you think the guy who posted
Anyone try the Vision Tox Kit?
wants to trash the clearomizers in the kit?

    Thanks...

Although they are personally my favorite carto, many don't like CE2s. They do most often require a learning curve and some tweaking to get them performing optimally, though the newest version is the best so far with the thicker tube and improved gaskets.

I wouldn't recommend them to someone that doesn't like to fiddle a bit, in that case I'd recommend Boge (3 ohm for vv or 5v and 2 ohm for 3.7). They are tried and true, good performers with no fuss, fill and vape.

Dual Core and the Lavatube don't work well together. The limiter kicks the voltage down really early due to the current they require, especially on the 1.5 ohm, the 2.5 may be a little better but I still wouldn't recommend it. I'd stay with single core on the lavatube.

If you want to try a poly fill tank I would get one from madvapes or Hoosiers. Same thing half the price. If you have a LT VV. Personally I would go with single coil poly fill if you are a heavy vapor. I too prefer a ce2 because polyfil can have an odd taste where as a ce2 will give you a very nice clean vape similar to dripping if you know how to fiddle with the wicking slots. A dual coil polyfil has one coil above the other so you need to keep the juice level in the cartomizer higher or it will burn the polyfil and leave a real nasty taste in your mouth
My dream would be a ce2 tank that works as easily as a polyfil cartomizer.

    Thank you both.
I don't like polyfil either. This was the reason I was asking for an Ego-T type tank solution in the first place.

When a Clearomizer is hitting well, I don't think there is Anything that can Beat It.

But they do take some Fine Tuning. Some people just want to Fill-n-Vape. A Clearomizer May or May Not work this way. Even if they don't work Out of the Box, there are some Very Simples things that can be Done to make them work. Like "Tilting".

You also have to choose your Ohms to the type of hit you want.
