I saw it posted on another thread but there was no more pertinent information. I'm sure it's a Chinese knock-off (rip off) of the ProVari. It was only a matter of time. It does look interesting though and I'm curious to know all the details.

If it's Stainless Steel I may not be able to help myself. And the last thing I really need is another VV mod.

If it has a 4 amp switch. I think that is more powerful then any VV mods that are out now.

Actually....the Saber Touch VV HP cranks out 5 amps and has an optional passthrough insert.

Strange. I was curious about the saber Touch VV before. But I thought it was limited some how. Don't remember by what. So can you get to 30 watts on a Saber Touch VV HP?

About time China came out with a VV that looks great. I'd buy one

I hope this creates a race to the top for VV mods.

It's a stacked battery device..because it has 2 batteries and uses step down it is easy to have a high amp limit. With the other tube with single batteries when boosting voltage you have to consider amp drain on the battery when it's at it's lowest charge when it's set to it's highest voltage.

If my thinking is correct a 2.5a output limit with the battery at 3v and the device set to 6v would double the drain on the battery to 5a (plus any inefficiency of a few percent) and a 3.5a output low volts set on highest at 7a. With stacked batteries you double the amp limit you can pull from them by stacking.

I think the single battery VV tubes are being a little on the safe side as they probably could pull 4a without coming close to the limit of IMR's..AW's are rated about 10a continuous draw but we don't continually draw from batteries. Also from some research the Sanyo Batteries (if they are Sanyo and they look identical to them) that come with most LT kit's have at least a 15a continuous draw capacity..some battery sellers say the Sanyo IMR have a 20a continuous draw capacity.

If it sells inexpensively it could be a decent device..it should be "coming to a retailer near you in the near future" but I will wait and see how it works out. You probably will see a lot more VV devices this year

This Smoktech VV is called VMax.

    -2x18350 IMR
    -5 amps output limit
-3-6V in .01 increments on 3 digit display
-display fuctions: on-off safety, load resistance (ohms), voltage up or down, battery voltage, atomizer/carto output voltage, LED light off/on, shorted load indicator
    -low battery indicator
-brass build painted black or sliver
-Smoktech states they will not offer Vmax to vendors that sell it for less than $128.

Vmax doesn't look like it will meet proposed EMSS rules.
