Default Ego style VV (3-6V) but runs on replacable 14500 batteries? (@.@)

Ego Variable Volt V2 (Stainless Steel)

With all the positive reviews on Ego Twist and Kgo VV, not sure why this unit isn't getting any attention on ECF. Long story short, I love my Ego Twist for it's size and VV feature, but I hate the thought of having to purchase these made in China "throwaways" every 6-12 months once the battery stops holding a charge. As I was looking for ideas for my next setup I stumbled onto this unit but I can't find any reviews on ECF.

So what do you guys think?

OK, haven't seen that one before. Thanks for the heads up.

I would choose that over a disposable Twist, given similar functionality.

Phil Busardo at Taste your Juice.com is going to do a review on this unit sometime in the near future.

Great! Looking forward to that or any other review. This device is certainly on my radar.

Seems like many VVPV out and about. I like the idea of the replaceable batts.
I see Vision came out with the Spinner also. It's like the twist, but with easier to read numbers and knurling on the dial.

LOL, I've PMed PBusardo and asked him to do a review on this as well. Since this unit uses Li-ion batteries, I'm concerned with the safety features (i.e., air vent, battery heat spring). Ego VV with replaceable battery is definitely something to look forward to, I will update this thread once more is known about this unit.

This looks like a decent item. Battery life wont be all that but hell its nicely done. Can't wait for a review.

    Nirvana ensues

Good idea, nice specs, and the price is right. We don't know much about this device yet, however. Beside the unknowns (quality control, durability, possible early-production run glitches, etc.), length might be an issue for some people (me among them). Put a 3" stardust or similar tank on a 5.25" tube, and the overall length is then more than 8".

That's not necessarily a deal-breaker, but I wouldn't trust standing it upright on a tabletop. Too shaky on its narrow base.

Just lost a Kgo bat and was about to jump on the new Kgo vv after testing a twist style one. But, this looks interesting. 14500 batteries have been good to me. Hopefully the review is coming soon or someone here has one and will provide some feedback.
