Now, it is possible that I missed something since I have 100 million things going on in the background here, but it seems like you simply put eliquid in the bowl with no cotton. If so, YIKES!!!! The mere fact that you could inhale and live to tell about it is a testament to the resiliency of youth.

The Iolite really requires a lot more experimentation and patience than an e-cig, but once you figure it out, it's a wonderful vaping experience.

When you use liquid, I personally find that adding cotton as a filler works well. I add a few drops of eliquid on the cotton and then I add 2-3 drops of glycerine on top of that. You'll find that the cotton slows down the vaporization of the liquid. The glycerine not only cuts the nicotine, but it also mellows the liquid itself. In other words, even if I use a very low nicotine liquid, I still add a few drops of glycerine.

Three more tips that I personally have found helpful: First, don't saturate the cotton. If you saturate the cotton, the vape will tend to be harsher. Second, while the Iolite will produce vapor within about 30 seconds or so, the best flavor is after it's been going for a few minutes. Third, high nicotine solutions will kick your butt with the Iolite--the higher the nicotine concentration, the more you need the glycerine. Trust me on this one.

I'll be curious to hear Andy's thoughts on this.
Alright I'll try and get my hands on some cotton and do a video with that, hopefully I won't die from coughing this time.

Very nice, Crash.

It's hard to tell, but I think you may have used a bit more cotton than I typically use. I gently push enough around the pin to make a very thin layer along the wire mesh at the bottom. The more cotton you use, the more liquid you need to use because the cotton needs to be moist.

I do vape menthol, but not as much with my Iolite. I find the menthol can be slightly overpowering. I actually prefer sweet liquids, like caramel or peach cobbler, in my Iolite. There's something about how it breaks down the flavors such that over the course of 5-20 minutes, the flavor keeps changing and becoming more complex.

Like I said, this is a device that requires a bit of playing and experimenting. But you're right . . . it does start to grow on you.

Thanks so much for doing all of this work!!!!!!

PM me your address, and I'll send you some dead atomizers.

Crash, on your last video did you use the cotton, e-liquid AND the glycerine as Julie suggested?

Sure appreciate all the time you've given us and you're doing great! I feel like I'm watching a real person just like me review one of these things rather than a polished actor. But don't get me wrong, I appreciate all the reviewers! You're just a breath of fresh air.

Wish I could take credit, but it was Tim with www.smokejuice.co.uk who came up with the idea. He has a great video on his website regarding this technique. I highly recommend watching the video--

Thanks for telling everyone Sun, all I'll be using in the future is molasses or I might try that method you told me of with the atty coils once I can get some dead attys.

The liquid I used was 6ml menthol from mvs, I cut that with 50% VG. And as far as opinions go I can only really say whats on my mind, lol I have no referral links or recommendations for anyone. If you like something then buy it from wherever you want. Smoking all that menthol has left me with some ice cold breath I took theater back in high school but as you can clearly see it didn't do me any good.
