    Default Question for Walrus

My eyesight has become very blurry since I started insulin. I saw an eye Dr. and he tested me for all the diseases of diabetes and I am fine..other then the fact that my eyeballs feels like I have had vasaline smeared on them.
He said it might go away in time (days weeks, months) once I got used to the insulin. He said my RX would change several times until I became used to the insulin.
He wanted me to wear bi-focals (all I used before the insulin was low level readers for small print, I could see long distance with no problem) I am not buying glasses every few weeks because the script changes! Not at 100 to 200 dollars a pop for bi-focals! (I worked at a vision center, I know what they cost)
Anyway, has your vision changed? Did it change back? is this normal?
Please forgive the typo's..I can't type or spell at the best of times..now it's worse.

Sorry... I was at work. Diabetes can effect vision, but I've not experienced the insulin itself changing it. I have some damage to my eyes from the diabetes before it was detected. My vision is still 20/15... or it was last time I had it checked. I think I need to do it again... but only because I'm older.

Thanks Walrus, I thought maybe you or someone here has run into this. I forgot what my script was before all this happened, but it wasn't bad enough for the Dr. to prescribe glasses, just to continue with my 150 readers. Now it's 20/50 at least for the last couple of days. thanks anywho.

Thank goodness it's starting to clear up! The long distance is clearer at least. Midrange is still blurry and close up..I still need readers!
I also can't play the piano or type..but then again I couldn't before Insulin.
