    Default Cold and Vaping

I have a cold..don't worry, I cleaned my keyboard and screen before typing!
I have all the symptoms, Fever, coughy, achy, sneezey and drippy. But they are no where near what I used to get when I was smoking. Is this an added benifit to vaping? This is day 3, by now I should be coughing my lungs up. I should aslo be on my way to bronchitis. The last cold I had was 5 years ago, I was almost hospitalized because of the bronchitis involvement. I was sick for a month, coughed for 2 more weeks.
I bet I got it at the hospital, and you wonder why I avoid those places like the plague!
All I am taking is dayquil and Nyquil plus vitamin c. Lots of O.J. and water too! I have had 2 naps today, that in it's self is amazing. There will be no trips to the hospital today!

Oh my! Yes, you probably did pick it up at the hospital. In March my sister spent three weeks in the hospital before she passed and I had my first cold in years. Actually it's probably the combo of hospital germs and the stress of your mom's condition. Just know that all your pals on here are thinking of you.

Take care, get plenty of rest, and feel better soon!!

I know just what you mean, as a smoker, every little upper respirtory infection (and believe me, working with children, I got them all) ended up in brochitis, sometimes even pneumonia.

I forgot how long colds last? I feel a bit better but I am wearing down again. I wore a mask when seeing mom today. A cold right now would kill her.
I am glad at least this is a summer cold, I hate winter ones..you bundle up then get too hot and kick off the covers only to freeze again!

Yep 5 (some say 7 instead of 5) days coming, 5 days there, and 5 days going.

Glad you're feeling a little better.

    Blech! Colds!

It might be the H1N1 Swine Flu. Seriously. I was quarantined in China for a week because of some people on our flight that had it (the flight from the US - damn San Franciscans).

It's actually more like a bad cold than it is the flu - I think I had it a couple months ago. Started with a little tickle in my throat...

Anyway, the swine flu isn't deadly like they thought, in fact, it turns out to be pretty mild but especially virulent. The thing is, it's a little worse than a cold and seems to last about two weeks (for some people a little more). Doesn't change the fact that it sucks to have it though.

Anyway, here's hoping you get much better, very soon!!!

Gee Thanks..swine flu, that's all I would need! This seems to be very mild compared to other colds. There have been no reports of swine flu in my area. I will just have to live with reduced taste on my vapes for now (That's what makes me the maddest)
It doesn't help that I live in the tourist capital of the world! The House of Mouse, Universal, tourist row, Seaworld ect! It's like the tower of Babel when you go to a mall in Orlando!
