Kathy, I am not good with all the quoting stuff, so I will just answer some questions and comments here.
When I say we need to start topics ..stepping on toes ect. I am talking about THIS part of the forum, the Women's Room, not the forum in general. Not to say starting topics up there is a bad thing..far from it. But I am only semi in charge of this group..just a Mod for this little area, no more, no less. I do not presume to speak for the whole of ECF.
As for stepping on toes...there are a lot of tendertoed people anywhere, not just in the forum. Lately the bruised toes seem to abound. But in this area we are a tough lot. LOL! I was just trying to keep people from being too apologetic when no harm is meant or done.
Last, it's good forum etiquette to explain your edits. I have no clue why! But that's the way it is..maybe to show you did the edit and not someone else, or that you didn't change your reply to suit following replies. So I do try to do that when I am in the forum at large.
But in the Women's Room..it doesn't matter to me..mostly it's spelling and not some evil plot to rule the world.
    Hope that helps.

    Hi Kathy,

I have a nephew and a sister-in-law living in San Diego and a niece in Ventura. For a few years, several members of my family lived in CA., -Simi Valley, San Diego and Northridge. Happily for our family, the majority have returned. I am of the mindset - there are always places with better weather and prettier places to live, but nothing is more important than Family! Happy they are back home with us.

Mary - when I first joined, I always explained my edits because I thought I had to. I have since stopped. It is always one of 3, - a. spelling, b. - grammar, or c. - remembered something I forgot to put in the original post (not that that happens too often!!! lmao).

Mary - Is it even possible for someone else to edit your post?

Stormy, I love hearing about your uncle. I wish I were nearby -- I would go visit him! I'm sorry you lost your mom (and he lost his sister, right?). My dad was a fascinating person also, a jazz piano player. But later, he had Alzheimer's, though he was fairly sturdy physically -- and that was so much more tragic than my mother, who was wasted away with MS but still had such a vibrant spirit. Anyway, I lost my parents too young, and so for anyone who still has their parents, that is fortunate. Also, we can never complain about getting old because some people aren't lucky enough to.

And Mary Kay, you are completely awesome! What beautiful ideas for resources for Stormy's uncle you had. I'm sure some interesting places can be found for him on-line. And, it's really important that everyone of advanced or advancing age get their stories down. That's such a beautiful idea. I definitely say discussion forums, too. Or check out Yahoo email groups. I think those can be vetted well enough so he doesn't get in with questionable people or whatever.

I had only tried menthol and flavorless. I like the flavorless actually, though I mostly got it for when I share with my smoking friends to have them try the e-cig, since more people than not don't like menthol. And today I just tried coffee. I like!

As to chocolate, I'm looking also. I want dark chocolate, though, not milk chocolate. I know that truesmoker has a dark chocolate, which I want to try. Also Vapor Station in Texas has a chocolate, though Eric there said it tastes like a Tootsie Roll, which I don't care for.

So, please do share where you might find a lovely chocolate, and I'll let you know if I get mine first.

I got some fruit flavors, Apple, banana, pear, peach, Cherry and Watermelon I thought..these are too weak for me, I can't taste them! But I am not one to waste anything so I decided to just vape one fruit and one dark (tobacco, ry4, choco..like that) per day. I was changing up like a crazy person before that.

When I started doing that, I found I liked the flavors! Banana needed a drop of lorann's, so did watermelon, but the apple, peach, cherry and pear are just fine.

My taste buds woke up or I stopped overloading them. So that's my pattern now..1 light flavor and 1 heavy flavor. Tonight is butterscotch and banana, last night it was Coffee and pear. It keeps me from getting flavor fatique and lets me really get into a flavor.

BTW my pear came from vapor4life when he had his 20% off sale. Every flavor I got from Smilin at V4L has been good, except for the spearmint..too mentholy for my tastes. Vapor Options has really good spearmint, the bottle says double mint, it tastes like the gum.

I meant to add, you can't go wrong getting some Lorann's to match your flavors, You can make them stronger( add a drop or two..stop and vape before adding more!) and you can also make them last a bit longer by adding some P.G. or V.G. or Glycerin. I got some P.G. and 36mg flavorless juice from juicy juice so I could extend my favorites and add a touch of extra vapor. With the drop of lorann's you can really turn 10ml to 15 with out losing a thing. Since I am cutting way down on my nic, I use a drop or two of the 36 mg juice in my bottle. more to say it has nic..then to get nic..lol
I love reading all these crazy flavor details! But what is Lorann's? Are those just straight flavor liquids that you add to the pre-made e-liquids?

What do you mix your concoctions in? Say if you're jazzing up a pre-made liquid with Lorann's flavor and also PG or VG...what kind of container do you mix it in, and do you stir or shake?

BTW - where is Wildsky - havent seen her lately???
Oh my... Okay, I'll try not to be scared when I go back out in there. But, there are so many threads, so where is the brouhaha going on? I only happened upon that battery-skirmish by chance, but that was just in one little corner.

I do like it here, though, for sure.

Gotcha! Yes, we can be clear here, or I mean, clear anything up that comes up that needs clearing up! Cool.

Hilwayb, small world. I'm glad for you you have family around you. My family, what there is left of it, is scattered all over, so there is no "home" anymore, not for a long time. At least all of my siblings are here in California, close enough. I am a major aunt. I have about 25 nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, and I love it. I didn't have any children, so I love being Aunt Kathy.

    https://www.lorannoils.com/
Lorann is a place to buy candy flavorings. They are super concentrated so a drop will do ya. I get mine from the website or at a party store in Kissimmee that sells cake and candy making supplies. Some people find them at grocery stores, Wal-mart or craft stores. They are NOT the same as food flavors at the supermarket. Bickfords and Cappella flavor drops are two more brands.
I prefer on line because my store sells the Lorann's 2 for $3.50 (a 2 pack) I can get the bottles on-line 1 at a time for 1.50 or so. Lorann's is sugar free except for maple and most do not contain oil. See the fun, frightning flavors thread for some recipes and links to more! Or you can go to the DIY liquid section on this board in tips and tricks.
I use a drop of lorann when a bottle of juice is kind of weak tasting. I can extend my bottles to make more of a purchased flavor by adding some P.G. or Glycerin and a drop of lorann's. If the bottle is a newer one, then I transfer the purchased e-liquid to a larger bottle and add the drop of flavor and the P.G. and Glycerin (for extra vapor production).
I also make some flavors myself and use P.G. (like most suppliers sell). I bought some small 15, 10, 6, and 3ml dripper bottles from juicey juice to keep my homemade juice in. You can use anything to mix a batch in..but mix a tiny 1 ml batch to test first. I made some truly yucky stuff at first.
Some people use those tiny breath freshener bottles from walgreen's (50 cents) to make little tester batches. Do not use eyedrop bottles. The plastic isn't right and eyedrops are date rape drugs..don't want any of that lingering in your juice.
I hope Stormy can use some of the info for her Uncle. At least he is alert and still interested in the world.
My chocolate is from My vapor store and is called Mocha lite. It isn't a dark chocolate, more of a milk choco. It is very good. I got some Milk choc from Vapot4life, a bit stonger but still not dark choco.
I am going to try Lorann's choco..has anyone else tried it? If I hate it I can always use it to extend my Mocha..LOL Waste not, want not!
