What are you reading? What do you suggest to someone else?
I like Humor, Horror, Sci fi and some Fantasy. I get enough real life in real life!
My favorite Author is Dean R. Koontz, he write about flawed people who live with challenges. They find themselves in supernatural or suspenseful situations and overcome..some times they even find love.
My favorites are:
*Fear nothing and Seize the night (sequel) about a man with xeroderma pigmentosum (XP) l(ight sensitivity) Chris Snow notices strange things happening in Moonlight bay.
*Frankenstien: Prodigal Son and City of the night. (sequel) A re-telling of the Frankenstein story set in new Orleans.
*Odd Thomas, and its sequels. The stories of Odd Thomas a young fry cook in Pico Mundo Ca. Who can see ghosts, in fact his room mate is Elvis. The Ghosts don't speak but they do come to Odd for help.
He has many other books that I love, but we would be here all day. I have them in book form and Audio book form, I like to listen while I drive. It sure makes that 2 hour drive to Tampa pass nicely.
I like Stephen King, Michael Crichton (may he rest in peace), All the books by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child..written together or apart.
And of course all The Harry Potter's!

I used to be a huge King fan. Until his comment about the military.
I'm an old Anne Rice fan.
But my favorites are the series by:
*Laurell K. Hamilton
*Charlaine Harris
*Kim Harrison
*MaryJanice Davidson
*Jeaniene Frost
I also read V.C Andrews, but only when my grandmother buys them and gives them to me when she's done.
I grew up an Andrews fan, but whoever took over after she died has no imagination.
It's the same screwed up family, rape, pregnancy, murder with different names.
(Although, I did love the Orphan mini-series)

I love reading.. I will read anything fiction (hubby has not gotten me to read old the old dead greek dudes...lol) There are way to many books in this world to have favorates...LOL
But the last 2 nights I have stayed up wayyyyyyyy too late reading a Kim Harrison book. I am obsessed with the Twilight books for some weird reason I don't know... they are the only books I have ever been able to reread with in a very short time of finishing. Been reading books like Jane Austins, Tolstoy, Doskavesky (Ok that one I know I spelt it wrong) as well as any fantasy books I can get my hands on... I think I am in a Vampire stage or reading...LOL
Oh and then there is the cook books I read....

I have a Kindle too.. I love it and highly recommend it. I read a lot of Dean Koontz, Stephen King, John Grisham, Patricia Cornwall, James Lee Burke, James Patterson with some Nelson Demille, John Sanford, Michael Connelly thrown in for good measure. In fact..I've been known to read cereal boxes when all else fails.
But seriously..on the Kindle, if you have eyesight problems of any kind, then the Kindle is your friend. I love being able to increase the font size.
Edit: Just wanted to mention that there are many free books out there for the Kindle.. it helps to offset the price you pay for instant gratification on books and on the Kindle itself.
