Also remember, if you're working out (even doing aerobics) you are still working up muscles. This is +weight. Don't weigh yourself at all. Don't use this for your weight loss tool. (Actually, check it every two weeks) but measure yourself in inches. Measure your waist once a week. Your hips, thighs and biceps. (depending on how thin you are right now, if you're weight training, your inches will go up in your biceps, or if you have the jigglies, the inches will decrease before going back up)
Try eating snacks (you know, fruits, yogurt.. not snickers, hehe) every 4 hours. It will boost your metabolism. Drink three glasses of low fat milk every day, and increase your green tea intake (don't add sugar.)
I agree wholeheartedly. Course for me it'd also be semi-suicidal since I'm supposed to watch my cholesterol, I while I don't mind veggies a low-carb diet would have to have quite a bit of meat in it.

Niluvani, thats quite an extensive plan you have there!! But it sounds like we diet about the same, except that Denise Austin makes me want to puke, and while I suppose that might take some weight off, its probably not too healthy
, and I am trying to get away from some of the processed foods....... I am shooting for about 1600 hundred calories and an hour of cardio a day right now. I need to get some weight training thrown in there too, but so far, it seems to be working.
I can't swear the e-cigs are responsible for the weight gain either, just that the timiing coincides, but I am prone to weight gain anyway, soooooo, who knows, but I am glad I'm not the only one in this.

So I am not sure weather it is the meds, no analogs or what. I talked to my Dr. and he told me as long as I eat right and work out, what I weigh should not mater as long as I am healthy.
I told him there is no way that a person that is 5' 4" is healthy weighing 195 lbs.
SO I FEEL YOUR PAIN.

How the heck did they manage to put 30 lbs on you in a week, you poor thing!?!?! Did they give you Paula Dean created IV drip or something? Wow, thats awful for you.
I'm sorry to hear about the cluster headaches too. I have no idea what they feel like, but I have heard they are an utter b**ch.

Here's another tip to get your mid-section tamed (not toned.. unfortunetly) before a big day. Like, a wedding day, or date or something.
4 days before the day.
Start to avoid salt, and processed foods.
When you eat salt, water is attracted to it. So, more salt... more fluid. Thus making you sluggish/puffy and you'll have more water weight.
Feel free to use salt-free seasonings. (Hard to find, but some are out there. lol)
Carbs.
Like I said, this is a temprary fix (never to be used for a long term diet) Your body stores the glycogen (from carbs) with 3 grams of water. Less carbs, less water weight.
Raw Foods.
Eat cooked veggies! A half cup of cooked carrots, is the same nutrients has a cup of raw carrots. But the cooked carrots take up less room - and you can fit in your nutrients, without bloating your belly.
Gassy foods
Avoid gassy foods - they you know, obviously bloat your belly. (Kinda like that time of the month) Legumes, cauliflower, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, onions, peppers, citrus fruits, beans, etc.
Sugar Alcohols
Xylitol or Moltitol are the most common. They're used in low calorie low carb products. Like low-calorie/low-fat cookies for example. The GI tract can't absorb most of the sugar alcohols. They can also cause gas, abdominal distention, bloading and diarreah.
Fried & spicy foods. Mostly common known. They digest slowly, and make you feel heavy/bloated. Black pepper, Nutmeg, cloves, chili powder, hot sauce, onions, garlic, mustard, chili, BBQ sauce, horse radish, ketchup, tomato sauce, vinegar. (They all stimulate the reasel of stomach acid)
Alcohol, Coffee, Tea, Hot Cocoa, Acidic Fruit Juices.
They are high acid, and irritate the GI tract, causing swelling.

Oh great! I can eat cooked carrots! That's it. I am gonna turn orange..not a good look for me!
I have a charity dance coming up in Nov. I want to lose some more weight. I eat regular foods, just not sugar or salt. Fats are pretty much a nono too because my meds just make them go staight through. I don't do hot stuff because of my missing gall bladder. I love water, but I also love coffee!
I have a beautiful crushed velvet and lace burgandy top I am dying to wear..it's a bit clingy and shows too many..ah..flaws..that's it!
I have trouble with "diets" since I am limited anyway between high blood pressure and diabetes.
I guess my big option is going back to walking everyday. Between the storms and the heat, I have laid off. Also the 93 trips up to the hospital a day.
Does stress put on weight? if so I need a vacation!
Deliza, I read this and processed:
about 1600 hundred calories and an hour of cardio a day As:
About 1600 calories an hour! I dropped my P.V.!
Also I loved this! Did they give you Paula Dean created IV drip or something?

PG and

I read somewhere pg and vg are metabolized as sugar. I think that is my problem.
