Well, it seems almost every weekend we get lost in the shuffle and end up doing quickie stuff cause all the kids are gone or doing their own thing...
Saturday we did pork loin marinated w/ a homemade sauce and brocolli, brussels, potatoes and rolls... very tastey...
Sunday was a laid back day... actually a lot to get done-we missed the meet Saturday due to my boys having obligations they didn't mention... I will not even comment at this point-
My husband helped a friend move his daughter into her new place and Sunday I helped to get some things set up in the place w/ my friend (the mom)-
We did sandwiches and dinner was more chicken soup or pork loin- they got to pick...
Tonight I made Taco Pie... everyone is stuffed!
Have no idea what tomorrow will be- I took out chicken...

Last night I made beef stew. Fresh veggies and some thick pot roast with some beef stew mix. Tonight we had leftovers on rice with french bread. I froze the rest for another night!
I am thinking maybe it will be pork chops or swiss steak. Or maybe I will be lazy and have cuban sandwiches.

Last of the Thanksgiving gone! I love it but by day 3 I am sick of Turkey!
This year I taught my 16 year old grandson how to make a turkey, dress and cook it, My son taught him how to carve it. He was thrilled!
My daughter was impressed, she has never made one! LOL
My son made pumkin muffins and the stuffing. I did the side dishes. All in all it went great. By the the time my daughter got up here (she had to take the little grandson by his other grandma's house for dinner) we were chomping at the bit to eat!
Christmas will be a buffet of ham and fixing's. Not a full out kichen brigage. Now I am looking forward to ham sandwiches!

For the last 5 years since we moved into our new home, we haven't really had a Christmas dinner due to work, sickness, and my oldest not living near enough for us all to get together. Well its changed this year, my son has moved back home *not living with me but in home town*. I am planning a family dinner for us all with the traditional gift giving.
I am really looking forward to Christmas this year. There will be my husband, two sons, mother, father, my new daughter in law, and my mother in law present for sure. Hoping my brother and his wife can make it, as well as one of my sisters and her hubby. Not really a large gathering but then my home couldn't hold my whole family anyway, since we downsized when we moved. At any rate it should be fun and I'm going to be busy cooking for a week I'll bet.
