    Default What's for Dinner?

Thought this would be a cool post...
Everyone can just post "dinner" even if it's not made at home-
Now that I am not working, I find I am making some things I haven't done in years and then I still have days that I really could care less and we do hotdogs w/ chili, slaw etc... and then the extreme.... takeout!

    So... What's for Dinner?
    I will start,
Tonight we had stuffed bell peppers- Very nice change of pace and it has been quite some time since I made them-
Hubby and I have 2 left over for lunch tomorrow- Mmmm!

Tonight was leftover pizza. Our AC died yesterday and it was too hot to cook! The AC couldn't have died last week when we had a cool spell? NOOOO
Tomorrow will be chicken and dumlings as the AC is now fixed!

Tonight my S/O made a lovely salad spread, since everyone likes different things in their salads. We had bean sprouts (raw and sauteed), red, yellow and green peppers (same way) sauteed slivered carrots, heirloom tomatoes, mandarin oranges, left over cornish hen meat, and a few other things I can't think of.

Last night was Thai night, with Pad Thai, wild rice and mushrooms and fresh yeast rolls, and the night before was meatballs & sausage in a home made tomato sauce, with eggplant/mushroom parmasan on the side with home made garlic rolls.

    Geez, I love this man!!!!

The Salad spread sounds awesome Mingo!
Kimer, I like that idea! When we both worked, my kids cooked through the week and we cooked on the weekends (or we did takeout through the week) Then, my husband does most cooking and now that I am home I am cooking mostly all the time now- My oldest son will do a big Sunday Breakfast- His specialty!
But, even w/ all their activities I like a taking turns approach...
My two oldest boys learned to cook at about 10 yrs old or younger (cooking basics at first and learned more challenging things) - My daughter is 13 now and still can't even cook grilled cheese! She acts so helpless to any household type chores- LOL Really not funny- I am putting her on duty now!
    Lol
Okay, well tonight we had oven fried pork loin steaks w/ mac n cheese and mixed veggies- Very good!

I am teaching my grandsons to cook. The oldest is learning spaghetti and can already make a great picadillo with rice. ( a Spanish dish) The younger one can make brown sugar carrots and makes desserts with me.

The chicken and dumplings were so good tonight!

I'm ashamed to admit it, but tonight so far I'm having Dawn's diyflavorshack Thin Mints juice for dinner. Why didn't anyone tell me how addictive this stuff was????

Good god, I just got my sampler pack yeaterday, and I'm like a vaping fool. This is bad.

Can one actually die of starvation whist vaping cheesecake?

    Inquiring minds want to know.............

MaryKay.. I LOVE chicken & dumplings!! I made them all the time when my kiddies were growing up, and now my daughter makes them... and the grandkiddies love them too. My current hubby (#2) doesn't like dumplings, so I never bother anymore... but maybe he would eat the chicken 'stuff' on mashed potatoes instead... and then I could have ALL the dumplings!
