NEW kind of contest coming up in a couple of weeks!!!
I just wanted to let ECFers know of a NEW fun contest that will be coming to this Wordup forum in a couple weeks!! Shortly after Thanksgiving it will start! It is called....
Wordup's Lucky Words Contest!!!
It is inspired by a contest that I used to play in a forum I was on a few years ago, but with a few changes. I won't go into all the details here, I will have the full rules in the contest thread when it is posted, but basically, there will be a list of words. Each contestant will have to make their own list of their "lucky words" from this master list and pm it to me. So for example, if I post 100 different words, I may have you pick 20 or 25 words from that list and send me that list. Each day, I will post a couple words, maybe sometimes a bonus word, and if you have those words, you need to cross them off your list.
When all the words in your list are crossed off, you will need to post in the contest thread - WORD UP!
Whoever posts that first is the winner! I will verify with the list you sent me that you won.
It will be the player's responsibility to keep track of your words, NOT mine. I will just verify you won at the end.
You can do this by writing down your list, or making a word document of your list. You can then cross out, delete, bold, etc the words that are called that are on your list.
It really is a simpler contest than it sounds, you will see when it happens. The most work is when you choose your words for the list. After that you just need to check in for the daily words at your convenience, tho when it gets closer to the end you might want to make sure you are checking in right away, so you can be the first to post WORD UP!
We might have a second and third place too, will have to see what Jeffrey says.
I will open up a contest chat thread as well so people can tell us how close they are getting!!
