My story starts like most. I was looking to quit analogs. I tried cold turkey, and when that didn't work I tried the patch. The patch worked well for me for about a month, but I soon resumed smoking. I had heard about ecigs, but nothing about mods. Just the cigarette style battery with the pre-filled cartos.
I was ready. So I ran up to rite aid and bought an ecig. It worked pretty well, but to me the flavor was a bit sub par. So I went online and did some research. Found the vendor smoketip and ordered a starter kit with 2 batteries, a charger and some cartos. My wife and I both started using them once we received them. They were a lot better than the rite aid ecig I bought previously.
Vacation!!!
Walking into a shopping mall while out of town, I was vaping my ecig when the battery died. This after being charged all night. I was devastated. Being weak, I bought a pack of analogs as I knew I "needed" the nicotine.
Once we returned home, I ordered refill packs from smoketip and the taste was way different (in a bad way) than what the original kit contained. So I hit Google. I searched for something like "long lasting ecig battery" and "ecig flavors". This led me to the ego type batteries and a lot of juice vendors. Low and behold, I live about 20 minutes from ***** ***** in New York, so I jumped in my truck and took a drive.
Oh the joy! At the store, I was a bit overwhelmed to be honest. Seeing the "big mods" the workers were vaping made my ecig feel dare I say, inadequate. And the flavors. All the different flavors available. Where do I start? My wife left with some cartos and apple cinnamon juice She was content with the smoketip battery. I left with a smoov 900mah battery, some cartos and menthol juice.
And it begins...
Oh that's throat hit...
I immediately noticed a difference with the smoov battery. I actually felt like I was smoking! The vapor was warmer and more flavorful. My wife thought I was crazy. Until I let her try it. Let's just say she now uses a smoov battery.
With my new setup, I discovered a new issue. I was unable to tell when the cartos were about to run out of juice.
Enter the nova tank...
An adapter and a nova tank later I was good to go. No analogs for a couple months. I was loving every minute of it. On Thanksgiving, I broke down and had an analog. It was TERRIBLE. I preferred the juice we purchased much more.
So from Thanksgiving to Christmas time, I was strictly vaping. I did have another analog sometime in December at a Christmas party. Again, I did not like it and I began to know that vaping was for me.
Blame it on the alcohol...
In January, my wife and I went to a party at a bar in which we are friends with the owners. I knew, I'd be having a lot to drink. I also knew, I'd need real cigarettes. Because I knew the ecig would not be enough. I now know...I was wrong.
After buying cigarettes for the party, I had to FORCE myself to smoke them. But at $10 a pack in the great state of NY, I'll be damned if I wasn't smoking them. I was perfectly content however vaping at the table inside of the warm bar. But I suffered single digit temperatures to smoke the disgusting $10 cigarettes I bought.
Those analogs were the last I have had.
Mods...
Did some research and discovered mods. I ended up ordering a mechanical telescoping mod in February. Loved the idea of being able to use different battery types and I could carry a spare. I was now an official vapor, and I was proud of it! I had no issues with my mod, vaped like a champ! Throat hit and taste was great! But I was ready for more power.
Vamo...
I started researching VV/VW mods. I was ready to upgrade. So I ordered a vamo. I figured for the price, I could get a lot of mod for the money (VV and VW) and I'd still have the option for multiple battery configurations. Its day 1 with my vamo and my only regret is not ordering it sooner. It's a very solid, simple to use mod. Good style IMO. Not to flashy, yet not to plain. I have seen people complain of its size, but it's actually smaller than I thought it would be. I love it!
Analogs...
I have not craved an analog in some time. I do think it's unrealistic to think I'll never have another analog. I am pretty sure I will someday. I am also fairly confident that I'll hate the taste. I know I'll hate the smell as I already do.
Whats next???
Like I said its day 1 with my vamo. Is it to earlier to look for my next mod?
