Micro Coils to increase Vapor, flavor & TH

Hey all, I just started vaping again a few weeks ago after about a year and a half back on the stinkies. I dug my old stuff out of storage and started catching up on what is new in the world of electronic cigarettes. I stumbled across this thread about a week and a half ago and have been keeping up with the current posts for about the last 60 pages and have gotten to page 158 from the start. I got a couple of vape mail packages yesterday and I started wrapping some of these coils last night and I wanted to share my progress over the last day and a half with the experts here and throw out a question that maybe someone here can help me with.

All of these coils are 28 gauge Kanthal around a 1.5mm drill bit wicked with organic cotton balls.

This is my very first micro, made about 30 hours ago. It is 12 wraps around a 1.5mm drill bit. It measured out to 1.8 ohms on my Provari. I don't know how accurate the Provari is. I fried my last multimeter doing dumb things with high voltage a while ago and haven't gotten around to getting a replacement.

Then I gave a dual coil a go with the same size coils. It measured .9 ohms on the Provari. I had some trouble keeping the coils in position while trying to screw them down. I kept one coil on the drill bit and the other on a 1.4mm precision screwdriver while tightening the screws. They would move while turning the screws tight. The outermost turns got a little messed up while trying to readjust the coils into position. I actually broke two coils by over tightening the screws. Then I broke another coil by accidentally pinching it together before I let go of the fire button. I think I will get the hang of it with some practice.

After vaping on those coils for a couple of hours, I decided to rip a perfectly working coil off of my Zenesis. I pulled the coil and ss wick and wound an 11 wrap coil and threaded some cotton through it and into the tank to the bottom. I have found that the wick can't keep up with chain vaping. I'll take a couple of puffs and set it down for a few. If I accidentally burn the wick, I can just pull it up a 1/4" and it is all good. I leave this one at my desk at home,

When I got home tonight I wound a 10 wrap coil and an 8 wrap coil just to see how they measured. The 10 wrap bounced between 1.5 and 1.6 ohms. The 8 measured 1.3 ohms. I put the 8 wrap coil solo on the Igo-L and swapped the battery from a crappy 18350 that came with my Screwdriver mod 3 or 4 years ago to an AW 18650 1600 on the K100

I wrapped another 10 and put it on the Igo-W. The dual coils were too low to read on the Provari. I'm assuming it came out to somewhere around .75 ohms.

I also pulled apart a Protank and re did that with a 12 wrap 28 gauge coil and cotton wick. It flooded and I haven't been motivated to try and fix it. I didn't take any pictures of that one.

Question time:

How the hell do you drill out the air holes on the cap for an Igo-W?
Can someone supply me with a link for the tools or a tutorial on how to do this? I bought some micro drill bits, but I don't have anything that will even chuck them up. The smallest chuck I have is 1/16". I don't want to go straight to 1/16th without trying smaller holes to start. I put a 1.2 mm bit off center but so the tip was centered in both my cordless and my corded drill. I broke a bit and lost all patients for trying to do it with the tools I have available to me. Is there anyone who has the capability to drill through these things willing to help a brother out? Let me know. I can mail my undrilled cap and a couple of bucks for your trouble to drill this thing out.

*Another question,
Do these ohm numbers soumd right? It seems a little high to me. I don't have any calipers at the moment to check if I received the right wire. I am also short a decent DMM to check the numbers against.*
