Sourcemore: Why Other People Get Lower Prices Than You Do (and how you can, too)

So someone tells you to go to sourcemore to buy a certain product because it's really cheap there. They say it's only $30. Yet you go there and you see it's $70! So you report that to the person who told you it was $30 and they tell you that you have to create an account and log in to see the lower prices. So you do that yet you still see the $70 price tag. Now everyone is confused and fed-up and you end up just buying it somewhere else because you think sourcemore has some kind of scam (or something) going on. I know the feeling, been there.

But here's why this is happening and here's what you have to do to get the lower prices:

Sourcemore has 2 retail account levels: General and Bronze.

When you're a new customer your account is at the "General" account level and you don't see the lower prices on some stuff. Only Bronze account level customers see the lower prices (only on some things, not everything is lower-priced for Bronze level customers). To get your account changed to Bronze level, you have to make one purchase at "General" level. Once it's delivered, they will move your account to "Bronze" level and you now get the lower prices everyone else gets on some stuff.

You know if you are Bronze or General level by logging in and going to your my account page. You will see a badge which says either "General" or "Bronze" - that's your account level. ;)

The way I got around this a few years ago was I made a purchase as a General level customer for some clearance items I wanted (clearance items are the same price for General or Bronze level).

Another thing you can do is to find a coupon code for the item you want at deal sites like cheapvaping.deals and vapingcheap.com. Sometimes you can find a deal with a coupon code that gets you close to what Bronze-level prices are. Buy the item with the coupon and that purchase will make you a Bronze-level customer after it's delivered to you, and will see the lower prices like everyone else.

I believe I know why Sourcemore does this, but I'm not going to get into it in this blog post. It is what it is and now you know. :)
