I have one that plugs into the wall and has a USB port on it, on the charger it says "Output 5V/500mA" it came with my ego. Just wanted to make sure that this was ok to use and that it doesn't degrade the battery over time. For example a lot of people say they use their phone adapter to charge the battery which will probably work ok but some chargers will charge a device faster than others like the iPhone charger vs. the iPad charger. You could use the iPad charger but it does put out more power to charge the device faster, I don't have the specs in front of me...Just don't want to screw the battery up any faster than necessary.

The wall wart, at 5V/500 mA, should be fine. As said, do NOT use the ego charger itself, use ONLY the micro port on the bottom. Trying to charge through the output will probably destroy the VV3, the charger or both. And maybe the wall wart. And if doing this unattended, maybe the wall....

Theoretically, the charger inside the VV3 will only draw the power it needs, no matter what's available. Many use higher current warts with no issue, some have had issues. May be different charger circuits in different vintages, who knows? But since the USB2 standard is 5 V / 500 mA per port and the VV3 was designed for USB charging, any 500 mA wart should be perfect.
