When I first started vaping a few months ago, I bought the original Atlantis. I absolutely loved it and, because I got it so recently, I wasn't considering buying a new one anytime soon.
And then I misplaced it. What. The. .....
I vaped on my way to the gym yesterday evening and swear I put it in my bag before I got out of my car. I took a one hour class, drove home, showered my nasty self and ate some food. I go to pull the e-cig from my bag... and it wasn't there. I emptied the entire thing out and searched through it at least 5 times, followed by a search of my entire apartment. I even went to my car twice to look, with no luck. I was frantic and annoyed at myself for losing it in the first place. By the end of the night, I faced the reality that I might never find it and that I'd have to shell out the money for a new one.
This morning, I did just that. I bought the same mod I had before (the e-leaf 30w) but, instead of getting the original Atlantis, I upgraded to the Atlantis 2. To say I'm obsessed with it would be an understatement. It has all of the great features of the original plus some amazing improvements. Here's a picture of both the original and the 2 so you can see what I'm talking about as I compare (also, sorry for poor quality, had no idea I'd be starting a vape blog haha):
The first two pictures are of the original (first pic) and the 2 (second pic). The 2 has a bigger tank, holding 3ml as opposed to 2 ml of the original. The original has one airflow hole; the 2 has two, which I like because it gives more airflow when I take a hit. Additionally, the 2 features a new cooling system; if you look at the top of the tank, you will see tiny holes. You can adjust the temperature by keeping the holes open or closing them to control the amount of external air.
The last two pics are close-ups of the drip tips. As you can see, the 2 (third pic) has a much larger and wider drip tip than the original (last picture). I wasn't sure how I'd feel about this at first, because it seemed a little too big for my taste and I was afraid of how harsh a hit would be with it; but I actually really like it.
Finally, the 2 uses new sub-ohm coils that are 100% organic cotton. This might be my favorite feature because I definitely notice a difference in the way my juice tastes; the flavor is stronger and more pure.
tl;dr: It sucks that my carelessness led me to lose a perfectly good e-cig, but I'm thrilled with my Atlantis 2. I highly recommend it.
