my favourite regulated mod of the year so far i think. didn't pick one up when they first came out...was waiting for a price drop. while it did drop it didn't drop by very much and there aren't actually all that many of them around as far as i can see. they come in black or SS. this example is the SS.
just VV and VW. no temp mode, curves or any other bells and whistles. suits me.
externally there is only one button (excluding the 510 quick release) and that's the fire button.
the other two buttons are underneath the rather nice front panel.
yeah it's a fingerprint magnet but i do like the simplicity of it. holding both buttons simultaneously switches between VV and VW. mine stays in VV.
the rear panels covers the battery compartment...obviously i suppose.
which is clean and the cells are easy to fit if the horizontal shoogly method is employed. would quite liked to have the battery orientation marked in white.
the 510 quick release was touted as a great, new, feature. i haven't tried it. while it may work flawlessly i'd be concerned about it holding up over the long run.
the mod can accommodate a 26mm atty without overhang.
it fires near-instantly even with the bulky dual aliens i've got in the zeus x. no button rattle.
finished perfectly and despite being small it does have a nice bit of heft.
the only niggle as far as i'm concerned is that the screen could be brighter so it'd be easier to read outdoors. that's it.
if you're looking for a no-frills workhorse that has voltage mode and looks great i'd say think about getting one.
