As the title states, this is a Rayon Wicking Tutorial for the SvoëMesto kayfun [lite] 2019 rta.
Please note: This tutorial is applicable to every rta I've ever used with rayon.
I'm using Tidi Rayon Balls Large (969162). It does not matter what brand of rayon you are using. The wicking will be the same with CelluCotton Rayon or any other brand of rayon.
As stated in the Rayon Pt1 and Pt2 threads, you want to use approximately 1/3 more rayon for your wick versus cotton. This is because rayon contracts (cotton expands).
When pulling rayon through a coil you want to hear a slight squeaking sound as you pull the wick side-to-side in a coil.
You will also "feel" that as a vibration on your fingers. YMMV, as you may not hear any squeaking or feel a vibration.
Rayon needs to be "tight" in the coil. And I do mean tight (but not too tight).
Why?
If the rayon wick is too loose in a coil, or not tight enough, the wick will contract once it is juiced-up. That will create gaps between the wick and coil. You do NOT want that!!!
With rayon it is the same wicking Rule Of Thumb as with cotton. Not enough = leaking. Too much = dry hits and/or muted flavor.
The ONLY difference is that with rayon we use ~1/3 more material versus cotton.
If the wick moves easily in the coil when it's moved side-to-side then you are not using enough rayon. Redo the wick using more rayon.
Getting the proper amount of rayon (or cotton) for a wick is a total "feel" thing. The more you do it, the more you will learn the "feel" for how much material to use each time you wick. Do it enough times and you automatically know how much rayon to use by feel (between your fingers) alone. It does not matter if you are using a coil with a 2mm ID or one with a 4mm ID.
In the KFL19 (pictured below) I am using a 26/36 SS316L Clapton with a 2.5id (0.88Ω). When I pull the rayon wick side-to-side in the coil, the coil moves. That is normal and to be expected with rayon.
If lighter gauge wire is used (ex: 28g simple round) you will need to hold the coil in-place with a fingernail. A coil can easily be repositioned (if needed). Thicker wires will move around less, or not at all, it all depends (

The wick tails are trimmed to the top of the o-ring as noted above. Tails trimmed there will just touch the bottoms of the juice wells (exactly where you want them to be).
The wick tails are evenly fanned-out for trimming.
I cut approximately 40-50% off the top of each tail.
Both tails trimmed and ready to be placed in the juice wells.
Tails inserted into the the juice wells. Please note both wick shoulders have been moved away from the positive block (airflow). That can be done with a paperclip or a sewing needle. Doing that prevents any juice from flowing into the airflow hole.
Wick and coil juiced-up. You don't need much juice, just enough to saturate the wick.

Take some VG, or your juice, and lube both deck o-rings. Fill the tank section. Screw the tank section onto the deck (only finger tight!!!).
All done and ready to vape.
