DaveG makes Iatty Work!!!

I have found the secret known by Thomas Edison about electricity. No longer will I be afraid of dealing with electrical items.

There were some problems here and they were the reasons why I had to find the "X" that was missing from this item not powering up.

There were 2 main reasons why I did not get this to work for a long time.

1. You need "Resistance" wire to have in the middle and "Non-Resistance" wire on both sides. What was sent was just a little "Resistance" wire, so if you made a mistake, you were in essence "Stuck" at that point.

2. The videos that Imeo made were great on all parts except 1: where to put the "Non-Resistant" wire on each end. He told you to put them into the groove on either side, but then it was a black plastic that you could not see, or at least I could not see what he did with each end of this wire.

I have purchased a lot of pre-made wires from Drew at Nhaler.com to work the "Ato-Miser" and I have been working it fine, since I got it months ago. So, I took one of his 4.0ohm pre-made wires that had the "Resistance" wire in the middle and already attached "Non-Resistance" wires on either end. I then attached some more of the Imeo "Non-Resistance" wire to each end as I did not think it would be long enough to make this work. Once I made the wrapping of the "Resistance" wire around the middle of the wick that would go into the middle, just like any Ce2, or tank mod, I wrapped on "Non-Restance" end of the wire around the top part of the metal midldle piece and the other around the bottom of the same piece, just under the black plastic. In order to do that, I needed to unscrew the black plastic piece so that I could wrap it and then screwed it back to keep it in place. I am sure the 1st one must be wrong as it is not secured, just wrapped around the top metal, but it does make contact.

I then put a few drops on the middle and screwed the unfinished Iatty onto the "Darwin." When it "Fired up" I knew I had it.

But... there is the element that I "Now" know about that I must warn anybody who like me, did not understand what "Shorting Out" or "Starting a fire" means.

Both ends must never touch each other. That is why I was very careful to insure that even tough 1 end is wrapped around the top of the metal post, that it is "Tight" so that it won't touch the other end that is running "Over" it and then under the black plastic. That end is "Tight" because I screwed the black plastic piece on top of it and also made sure there was no "Slack" for either one. If one end touches the other.... bad things...

and that was what I did not see in the Video Imeo made. He was very quick at the end to just twist what ... I could not tell.. around what... I could not tell. Part of it is that he has no light where the item is and you have a "Black" piece of plastic.

But, for now, I feel confident that I did it "OK." I just undid the whole thing just to make sure nothing was touching and it was not. But like the "tank" mods, this is not made to last forever.

I hope that I am shown the "Correct" way to wrap each of the "Non-Resistant" ends, but at least for now, I was able to make it work and after a whole weekend with it not working... there is the feeling of... "I can do it" that I never had before. Thanks Imeo for helping an "Electric Tard" to become a better Man.
