I personally had my MRI results sent to what should be my new Neurosurgeon yesterday. I am not relying on my doctors office to get anything done from now on. I do not know what is going on with them but I am going to find a new doctor once this is all over. It is hard enough for me to get things done without their lazy/understaffed office screwing with my getting this taken care of now.
Pain is still getting worse, not leveled off yet. The last 24 hours have been very rough and I have had to take two more pain pills than I am allotted today, simply because I had to do so. I am sure my new surgeon will be ready to slice and dice me soon, I don't see any other alternatives at this point. Having several bulging discs and a cyst/tumor to deal with, a history of chronic pain from previous damage and a history of no other treatments working for my pain in any way, surgery is the only other option left. Well there is one more, do nothing and that is not an option for me. Not being able to shoot is really driving me insane, I can do something occasionally, but I cannot rely on being able to shoot a show and at this point I would not make it through a full show to shooting as I normally would.
Again I could be much worse off and happy for that fact that I am capable of dealing with what is being thrown my way. I am being pushed to my limits, but that is how we expand who we are, by being able to handle such bumps in life, learning from them and finding the positive in them.
