I wish I had a working camera set up to provide pictures but I don't and this is a work in progress too, etc so here goes:
Homemade Nicotine Nasal Spray:
I've at least for the time being given up all efforts at making nicotine based liquids entirely from scratch (no more trying to extract nicotine out of tobacco for now),
and I have found a place that is American-based that sells 60mg/60mL juice:
http://www.americaneliquidstore.com/products/60--ml-DIY-eLiquid.html
and have some on the way which should make this homemade nasal spray effort just that much better.
What I've got so far in the meantime is 5mL of 10mg/ML 'nasal juice' created out of the proper mix of 48mg "Marboro flavored' e-juice' -- and distilled water* (I used the e-juice calculator and instead of putting PG/VG where it says, I put distilled water instead) since earlier efforts at just plain full on e juice didn't work (the PG/VG is much too thick, there's a reason the nasal solution is as it is and I'm trying to slowly learn to imitate it)
I use an empty Zicam nasal spray bottle
since its got exactly the same sort of delivery system/squirter on it as the commercial types do
(though I have not quite figured out how to get into a commercially made one to take it apart, its clear after examining ad using both that the tip and premeasured squirts of both bottle types are the same)
Nicotine NS sprays come in 10mL bottles, while Zicam NS comes in 15 mL bottles.
(and if your Zicam bottle isn't expired and still has current Zicam in it, just transpose it somewhere else and use q-tips to apply it just like another form of it they sell)
My homemade nicotine spray is still a bit heavy and odd right now with the 48 flavored.. but you know.. NS DOES deliver..
The nose knows... you can get a very good zap off this stuff .. and at .05 mg per nostril, this seems to be the best way to get the nicotine really more into you
and at a much lower rate (10mg/mL) and with a 60mL bottle of 60mg by the e-juice calculator I'll be able to make 24 of my 15 oz nicotine nasal sprays..
that's basically 24 slightly overgrown nicotine nasal spray bottles for about $45 for all of them.. not too shabby eh?
It may end up needing to also involve some alcohol (really not sure there, for now just playing it safe. For now all I know for certain is it must be a thinner more water like consistancy of a solution, and that means the higher concentrate/smallest amount of premade nicotine juice (and unflavored) that I can get my hands on, the better.
I hope to come back and report on the cleaner thinner more commercial like form once the 60mL gets here.
*I first made the distilled water into a homemade normal nasal spray (distilled water with premeasured small amounts of salt and baking soda which while I'm not sure they're in the commercial nicotine spray they probably are and should be if they aren't.. this is a 'nasal soother'' concoction like you can also buy commercially with 'saline solution' and sometimes a bit of baking soda in it to sooth irritated noses.. my goal with this was to hopefully maybe sooth while feeding a nicotine habit).
