What gets removed.... Cleaning Atties with Isopropyl Alcohol....

Just as a reference, I cleaned three atomizers, and three cartridges with isopropyl alcohol, and left the alcohol to evaporate.

The following picture is what the alcohol removed:

Please notice the existence of apparently congealed semi solids. This is one of the reasons I heavily recommend using isopropyl alcohol as a cleaning solvent.

Here's both the atomizer maintenance video, and cartridge cleaning and sterilization video:

I found Cozzicons vids just a few days ago and soaked my attys as directed. After letting them sit for 24 hours, my vapor production and flavor returned on two of the three attys. I will be resoaking the third to try again but it may be that one is just blown. I got a good three solid weeks of use out of it.

I recommend that everyone give this a try. It really helped me.

Thanks to Cozzicon for his helpful video.

Thanks Cozzicon for the great tips. In reading some of your blogs, I'm surprised that you have only been vaping since June. You seem to possess years more of experience on this subject, or maybe it's good common sense and a lot of research. Anyway, I look forward to more of your "Info-mercials."

Hey blix,

Well I've been unemployed since January 2010. So my time has basically been spent doing e-cig research and job hunting since I started vaping.

So that represents over 3 months of basically full time work- in between trying to find a job. I'm more optimistic about e-cigs than the job at this point. I can get somewhere with the e-cigs- can't find work though.

;)

Thanks Cozzicon, you are the man. It had just dawned on me a few days ago that the carts could be a breeding ground for bacteria. I pulled the filler out and soaked them alcohol, but did not realize they could be, should be disassembled.
Thanks again for your very informative and entertaining videos.

Thank you. It makes me happy knowing people are being helped!

Great tips Cozzicon, and really enjoy reading and watching your tips and videos.

I see others saying that using ISO isn't good as there could be some residual leftover that hasn't fully evaporated and then when you vape you vape that which is toxic, etc. I don't have a fan so not real sure how long I should let them air dry to ensure all the ISO is completely gone.

I have tried every way so far listed, besides your method the only other method that seems to work for me is highping's dry burn method but then other say that's bad, so just don't know now days.

I have only been vaping for 3 months and just got my first mod so slowly making my way up the chain. I did a review\initial impression but it's a written review.

Anyway sorry for the long post but just wanted to say thanks for the tips, advice, videos, etc.

You are welcome.

Drying these things after the soak is pretty simple. Either time/airflow or a hair dryer. If you can't smell it- it's gone.

All of the isopropyl alcohol I've seen at the drug store, at 91%, is distilled water and alcohol. No other ingredients. So it will evaporate cleanly and leave nothing.

Thanks again cozzicon, I am using the 70% you mentioned, at least if I remember right :)

I'll use that tip, if I can't smell it's gone. Once I get a good stock of attys, I'll rotate and give them plenty of time to dry as currently I can only find one all day vape, Dekang lol.

I watched you videos and I've been using 91% Iso Alc to soak my attys ever since I bought them. That was over a month ago and they're all still going strong! It even gets out the cinnamon taste from one of my juices. I love this method and I always recommend it. Thank you!

can this same method be done with the cartomizers?
just curious not trying to get off topic cozzicon....
