Hi, long time since I used the forum.

I kinda feel bad I neglected it.

Anyway as the title suggests I did try searching the forum for a thread already for the UK new vape tax but I could not find any. Or I was blind haha.

So the questions I have is as follows.

1:> Will the new vape tax also be on the VG/PG if you are DIY?
2:> if answer 1 is yes then would that also mean that any food products that also use those ingredients also go up in price too because of the tax? Would that not increase inflation again?
3:> Would I still be able to buy the base mix from outside the uk from an online shop to avoid paying the new tax?

I mean honestly it is really to much. I used to do DIY and the last 2 years I been doing premade juice, I still do RTA, but just went down the pre made juice more convenient to nip to my local vape shop than order and wait days for the delivery and then make the juice. I know I am spending more. But surely it will not be as cheap now when this new tax comes into force in October 2026.

I might have to find another method. But atm I can not think of a way around it, I searched for a few hours but I can not really pin point any workarounds. Maybe because it has not been introduced yet so no one has been able to find loopholes.

Surely there will be a way to get the juice cheaper?

The vape shop I use they sell 120ml bottles + shots for free for either £10/£12/£15 depends on the brand. So after the tax how much will they cost? will it really be £22 more so £32/£34/£37?

***REVIEW***

So I got this about a week and a half ago and have seriously tested it on the durability front as I do with all mods/kits that claim to be "rugged" or "highly durable". I dropped it from a 12 foot ladder within the first hour of having it (on accident) as I had to start my fall cleanup and was up cleaning out my gutters. Took that 12 foot fall with grace and landed, I kid you not sitting up straight. Obviously after that I thought "okay this kit may be up to the task. Let's go mow the lawn with it" which I did. Wound up dropping it for the sake of the review (all on purpose) and ran it over with my mower, all of it the kit handled flawlessly. Granted now it's scratched all to hell but it functions as it should and the tank is no worse for wear than it was when I took it out of the box. I run my Molicel P28A batteries (18650) in it with Juice Head Blueberry Lemon 0mg juice (70/30 mix) at about 73W for the pre installed.2ohm GTi coil and the cloud is great, the flavor is good but I've had better flavor experiences with other tanks. This of course is one of it's flaws. It's good on flavor but not great. I'm running this same juice in a Fat Rabbit Solo V2 at roughly the same wattage and the flavor is far superior, but of course that's an RTA and this is a stock coil tank. Now onto the other flaws of this tank. My second issue with the tank besides the slightly lacking flavor with the pre installed coil, is the fact that while we get an 8ml bubble glass for the tank, the included protector does ***NOT*** fit on the larger glass. I've tried everything to get it to fit and it doesn't want to. Honestly that's my biggest issue with it. Because should you opt for the larger glass to run more liquid so you refill it less, you're gonna be going without the tank protector, which is the single biggest issue I have with it. I've been running the pre installed glass and coil without issue because I don't have the larger protector for the tank.

***Verdict***

If you like Vaporesso kits like I do, definitely pick this one up, easily a great all day vape, just make sure if you pick it up buy the larger tank protector in your purchase or you'll be stuck with the inferior tank amount. 7.5/10 would still buy though as the color Cyber Blue (mine) is absolutely stunning.

In 2023 the "Proteus" project returns with the "Proteus Neo" having a tank capacity of 20ml and a gigantic battery, a year later and we are today; the new Proteus Mini 2024 appears more compact, but very similar in many aspects, both technical and stylistic to the Neo Proteus of 2023, which I had already tested and which I liked a lot.

The device that was sent to me for this test is "Pastel Blue". The cylindrical body of Proteus Mini is slightly flattened laterally where it also shows a striped texture for a better grip with the fingers. The frame is covered with a very smooth plastic layer that appears almost rubbery in reality its consistency is rigid, this surface offers a pleasant tactile feedback, however the device will not have to be handled for a long time to be used, but will simply have to be placed at the top of a common Hookah.

Aspire Proteus Mini is powered by a generous 3,000mAh integrated battery rechargeable via a 2A USB type C port. The charging port is housed on a black plate that recalls the design of the front screen, on this plate there is the name of the device in silver characters. At the top near the tank there is a perimeter LED that lights up during use, in fact this is a signal LED for protection notifications but also for the battery charge level as follows:

For as simple and easy as the TRINE SE is the packaging follows suite having the device and 2 pods as your equipment, no USB-C charge cord is provided. There is a quick start guild along with the VCAP 0.6Ω POD and 0.8Ω POD.I think this will be very affordable and why only one battery is included. INNOKIN also sent me the 1.2Ω VCAP POD.
