What is the ideal wattage range to use my dual Zeus ZX RTA?

Hi e-cigarette community, I haven't built coils for a while and just wanted to be on the safe side.

I've got 5 wraps(3mm) on each post(that's the most wraps I can do due to sidewall limitations) And I'm stuck with Kanthal for now(Nickel allergy). When I put in the values on ohms calculator it's showing as I'm pulling 19.74amps which is very close to my battery's amp rating. Is there anything wrong with my setup?

Mod: Voopoo Drag 2
Tank: Geekvape Zeus ZX RTA(25mm)
Battery: 2x Samsung 25R 18650 2500mAh 20A

Thank you!
:)

Innokin Spectre 2 // Review by HyDrOpOnIc1987

Hello there and welcome to another one of my reviews! Happy to see you decided to check this one out as I've been very impressed with the products Innokin has released lately. I was sent 2 Spectre 2 devices, by Innokin, so that I could write a fair and honest review. As usual, I will start by showing some promotional images and information, then will lead to my unboxing, assembly and usage highlights. I hope to illustrate in this review the many features on this device, and hopefully help you decide if this is one for you or not. Now, without further adieu, let's get to it.

Unboxing, Assembly and Usage Highlights

The boxes that the devices come in are the standard Innokin recyclable packaging which of course is better for the environment than the plastic that most companies (not just vape companies) use to house their wares. This is something I LOVE. There is WAY too much garbage built up, so it's refreshing to see a company try to tackle it proactively. Kudos, Innokin.

The front of the box shows the Innokin branding, the device name and a picture of the device included, which is also colour correct to the device within. On the same sticker/seal, it has a few of the devices main features listed. The right side of the box is blank. The left side has part of the front's sticker/seal, which shows the device again but has its colour written on the bottom of said picture. The back of the box is where majority of the information regarding the device and its pod/coils that are included. The first thing is a “Scratch and Verify" sticker, which has Innokin branding, QR code and a serial number of sorts. I'm not sure if that is the device’s serial number or not, but I would assume it is. Under that is a UPC code. Next are the warnings: This product is only intended for use by adults of legal smoking age. There are a few other warnings as well, such as Keep out of reach of children. After the warnings comes the package contents, Innokin's address and another warning to Keep out of reach of children.

After looking at the box thoroughly, I opened it up and took a look inside. This is my first glimpse at these devices, and they are really nice and sleek. Its heavier than I anticipated, but that is a good thing. Lately, most of the pod devices I have tried and reviewed have been very light and almost completely made of plastic. The Spectre 2, thankfully, is made of metal and plastics. The metal gives it heft, that way you don't forget that you have a device in your pocket. It also will ensure the longevity of the device. All this said, the device is by no means too heavy, it feels to be the perfect weight, at least for me.

Before looking in the compartment underneath the device, I put it on to charge and tried to clean out the pod as best as I could with a tiny little bottle brush, some soap and water, and a few q-tips. That tends to be what I use to clean all my vape gear. After that, I took the top cardboard part that housed the device out and took a look under. This is where the Spectre 2 manual, a warning booklet, USB-C cable and spare coil are all held. I'm very happy to see that they included a USB-C cable, as some people switching over may not have any and it would be frustrating to get the kit and then have to run out and buy the cable just so you can use the darn thing. Thankfully, that is NOT an issue here!

The pods are 2ml. They are also a kind of transparent dark grey colour, BUT you can still see through the pod very easily to see how much liquid is left. It has a little sliding button on the right side to control the airflow. This is the first time I have seen a design like this personally and I can say that it works very well. You can choose between a fairly tight MTL to a restricted DTL with that slider incredibly easily. On the other side of the pod is the filling port. It's side fill, but fills completely. That said, Innokin has told me that I should be filling the pod to about 80% and to refill once it hits the “MIN" line, which is shown on the back of the pod.

The pod is secured into the device via 4 strong magnets. When you go to slide the pod in, the magnets grip the pod when its between 0.5-1cm away from its housing. It slides in firmly, and fairly loudly, but is very secure. I can pick up the device from the mouthpiece. I can also shake any leftover liquid or condensation out of the mouthpiece of the pod without having to secure the pod with my finger. It stays on even when I shake the device pretty violently. However, it WILL eventually pop out if you use enough force and torque by twisting my wrist at the same time, but that’s a lot of effort that probably wouldn't happen organically. The coil heads are so tiny! These are the smallest ones I have used to date. You have to screw the coil head into a metal cylinder that works as a kind of airflow control and coil housing. Once the coil is primed and screwed into that cylinder thing, you can press fit it directly into the pod. I haven’t noticed any difference between how I line up the hole on that cylinder thing personally, but you may want to keep tabs on that just in case.

The power settings on these devices are accessed by pressing the fire button twice in quick succession, and you can tell which one you are using by looking that the LED light on the left. The lower power setting is shown as a blue LED, while the higher power setting is shown as a purple LED. This is, honestly, a very good and simple solution to not having a screen on the device.

I filled 2 pods, one I used the 0.6 ohm coil and the other I used the 0.5 ohm coil. The 0.6 ohm, I used with salt nic liquid at 50/50 ratio and it worked VERY well. Sometimes if I let it sit a while, like overnight, it would get a little over saturated and gurgley for the first toot, but it corrects itself very easily. For the pod with the 0.5 ohm coil, I put some freebase nic liquid at a 70/30 VG/PG ratio and it didn't hold up quite as well. It did work, but I couldn't chain vape with it. In my opinion, both coils are to be used with salt nic liquids. The flavour was muted with the 70/30 even on the high power. That said though, I replaced the coil with a new one and changed the liquid to another salt nic 50/50 ratio and had ZERO issues. These device worked VERY well, held up to some pretty decent drops and kept on chugging.

I tried to use these devices solely for the last week and a couple days, but because I have a couple other reviews happening at the same time, I couldn't give it my complete and full attention every single day. But, I did use them as my “out and about" devices for that time period and the last couple weeks I've been busy running around. This said, I got to know these devices pretty well and didn’t have any issues with them at all. No leaking, no pods popping off in my pocket, the coil stays firmly seated in the pod even when the pod is tossed across the room full (wanted to see if it would stay together haha). The flavour with these coils is bang-on as well! The only thing I noticed, which is the same for all auto-draw pod devices I've tried, is if you blow a little air into the USB port, the device will fire and continue until the air stops. It's not the biggest issue, but if you're going to have it somewhat out in the open while, perhaps, riding a motorcycle or something, it may end up firing on its own. But, in all honesty and fairness, that's pretty much the only scenario I could see where that could be an issue.

In conclusion, I would recommend this device to anyone who wants to use salt nicotine in a pod device. This device seems like it will hold up to the test of time (the metal in the body making it sturdy and resilient) and definitely would be a great device for portability and stealth. New vapers and old a-like.

I would like to thank Innokin for sending these devices for me to review. If you would like to know more about this device, please check out the link below.

Thank you very much for stopping in to read another one of my reviews. It's much appreciated as always. Please an eye out for my next one, which shouldn't be too long. Thanks again and I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Cheers!

Unboxing, Assembly and Usage Highlights

Looking at the box that this device comes in, it has all the usual black and green that accompanies Dovpo's products. Right on the top of the box is DOVPO written in black on a green background, under that is the device name LIMPID POD. Then there's a viewing window which shows the device itself (and its colour, since it’s the device itself being shown and not a picture) and beside it are 4 of the main features of the device. The right side of the box just has LIMPID POD written in black on a green background. The left side pf the box displays Dovpo's social media’s and website. The top and bottom flaps say “Dovpo" and “ Limpid Pod", respectively. The back of the box is where all the package contents, warnings (KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN, etc.), Dovpo's company HQ address, the “Scratch off and Scan" sticker and a sticker that tells you the colour of the device (Purple Transparent, in my case).

Upon opening the box, the lanyard, USB-C cable, User Manual and Quality Assurance card all fell out as they were held behind the device inside the plastic holding thingy (forgive my lack of knowing what to call that thing). The lanyard looks like it has a RDA beauty ring (one of those silicone ones) that you slip the device through and it holds it in the lanyard. I'm not a big fan of them, but know a lot pf people are so I'm glad they included one.

I took the pod and filled it. As the coil is built in, I couldn't clean it out or anything. After filling, I left it to sit for about 15 minutes. 10 minutes longer than the recommended time, but I have but coils in the past waiting what was told so I always wait a minimum of 15 minutes.

The pod is top fill. The mouthpiece is removable and under it is a silicone plug which hides the fill hole to prevent leaks and spills. After filling, the mouthpiece snaps back in place very snugly. Also, speaking of snug, when you go to slide the pod in, you're met with some pretty decent resistance. This is because there is a little clip that holds the pod in rather than using magnets. It works well, and I find myself popping the pod in and out because I like the feeling of the resistance lol on the bottom of the pod are 2 contacts and a hole for the air to flow through. The airflow on this device is fixed, non-adjustable, as it is meant to be a MTL pod, which it truly is. Its not the tightest MTL, but it does the trick.

The device itself has no display, instead it has 4 LED lights which change colours depending on the charge level. The LED's shine white (or the colour of your device) until it is at ~30% charge, which then it will change to red. When you remove the pod the lights will flash 3 times. When you slide the pod in, it flashes only once. When charging, the LEDs will keep shining until the device is fully charged which then they will turn off.

I've been using this device for roughly 2 weeks now and I really love it. The pull isn't too tight or loose. For me, it's perfect. And I truly use it MTL. The battery lasts me around 2 days. One day with really heavy use. I've dropped this device numerous times and haven’t had any issues with it. In the 2 weeks I've used it, the only issue I found was something that I notice on pretty much every single auto-draw vape device I have tried to date. If you blow into the USB port, and in this devices case I only need to plug the port and battery vent holes and the device will fire on its own. Blowing in the port is the usual way I see this, but this device I can kind of slap my finger tip across the full bottom of the device and it will fire. And it stays firing as long as my finger is there. Was a little scary the first time I discovered that. This said though, I haven't been able to recreate a scenario in my normal everyday life that would make that happen. The only thing I can think of is if the device is out in the open while driving a motorcycle or something, maybe the air blowing by it would cause it to fire. I don't own or drive a motorcycle though, so I can't test that.

The flavour with this pod is excellent. As with most small pod devices, I used salt nicotine liquid with it. Some devices can handle 70/30 VG/PG mixes, but I don't think this one will.

Considering the device is plastic, I have dropped it out of a second floor window (accident) onto pavement and it only scratched the plastic. Works perfect.

I would recommend this device to anyone who uses nicotine salts and likes small little cute pod devices. This thing is the perfect “bring around the down" device. It can handle a moderate beating and keeps on puffing.

Thank you for reading my review. As always, I really appreciate the time everyone took to read this, and I hope that I was able to help you decide whether the Limpid Pod is the device for you.

Thank you to Dovpo, as well as DOVPO_Daisy for sending me this device for review. As usual, it's been fun and a pleasure to test and review this product, and I hope I was able to teach a few things about it. Under this will be a link to the Dovpo website, where you will be able to find and, if you want, buy it for yourself.

Thank you all very much, and have an awesome day.

Cheers!

Vapelustion Hannya II 230W Box Mod
For Vapers, By Vapers

1662374358364.png

Hello, and welcome to another review! Today we'll be taking a look at the Hannya II Box Mod by Vapelustion. This is the second iteration of the Hannya box mod line (not including their pod mods) which added a new chassis style, more color options, and more side panel designs to choose from. If an oriental-style aesthetic is something you are keen to, I have a strong feeling that you'd love this mod. I have thoroughly put this this device through its paces and will be going over my experiences in detail down below.

First off, I want to thank Sue from HealthCabin for sending me this piece of art for review. As always, this will be conducted in a fair and honest manner.

You'll find a more brief overview of this mod over at HealthCabin. The pictures from their link speak for themselves.

DOVPO LIMPID POD KIT review by hittman

It’s been a bit of a wait but I’m very happy to be back with another review for Dovpo. This time I was sent the new Limpid Pod Kit in order to provide you with a fair and honest review. I have tested a lot of pod devices and hope that this one measures up as one of the best. The Limpid contains an 800mah internal battery and has a liquid capacity of 2ml. Those seem pretty standard from what I’ve seen from others. The coil in the pod is rated at 1.0 ohm and the Limpid has a max output of 15 watts. One thing I find appealing immediately is that the body is partially see through so you can see the electronics contained inside. This is in fact the very first pod kit from Dovpo. All of these features sound great but the proof is in the pudding so you will have to read further to see how the flavor production was on this one.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The packaging for the Limpid Pod is simple yet nice just like the device itself. The front of the box has a clear viewing window which I happen to like and shows the device contained inside. Of course the Limpid name is on the front along with a few features listed along the side. The back of the box lists the package contents, company information, authenticity code, and a sticker with the color version contained inside. I was curious about the Limpid name and evidently it means clear and transparent.

1662389476831.png

1662389512360.png

Once opened, the Limpid is found inside sitting in a plastic insert with the pod already installed. Underneath the insert there is a user manual, USB-C charging cord, safety card, and a lanyard. I’ve never been a fan of lanyards but guess that some people like them. The charging rate of the 800mah battery is only .5A or 500mah according to the specifications I found but in the user manual it says that it is actually 800mah which would make it charge in about one hour. I will have to connect it to my charging tester and see what it shows. This is probably one of the lowest charging rates I’ve seen on a pod device that I’ve seen in quite a while.

1662389581427.png

There is only one pod that is included with the Limpid. I always think that pod kits should come with two pods in case one is faulty. However, I can understand that manufacturers do this to keep the cost down on starter kits. Myself, I’d rather pay a couple dollars more to get a kit with two pods/

The Limpid pod is rated at 1.0 ohms and has a liquid capacity of 2ml. When I received the kit there was a safety sticker over the contacts of the pod so that it could not be accidentally fired before the pod was filled. As always, after filling the pod you should let it sit for 5-10 minutes before taking the first puff.

The pod does not use magnets like a lot of pods I’ve seen. Instead it snaps into the Limpid body very securely so that its contacts meet up with the gold plated spring loaded contacts in the body of the Limpid. Also contained inside the opening is the gold air inlet opening since the Limpid is auto draw only. There are no buttons or controls on the Limpid.

1662389664844.png

I very much like that the pod for the Limpid is a top fill. You simply pop off the comfortable mouthpiece, lift the rubber gasket and tilt it to one side. Fill the pod through the opening with the black gasket and replace the cover gasket and mouthpiece. The rubber gasket does make it an extra step for filling but I definitely prefer this over having to remove the pod in order to fill it like is required with many other pod devices.

1662389834090.png

The battery portion of the Limpid is clear on the front so that you can see the electronics inside which I personally find very nice. It has the Dovpo name on the front and inside the electronics are four LED lights. They illuminate whenever the pod is inserted or removed. Also the four lights will illuminate when the Limpid is plugged in to charge and will stay illuminated until the battery is fully charged and once it is they will go dark. During normal use the lights will turn red when the battery level reaches less than 30%. If the pod is not making contact or is faulty and the Limpid cannot detect it then the white lights will flash three times.

There is also a child safety lock built into the Limpid. In order to activate the child lock, remove and install the pod five times within 12 seconds. If done successfully then the lights will blink red five times. Do the same thing to unlock the child safety lock. I tried a couple times to do this but I guess I wasn’t quick enough. The pod is difficult enough to remove that it really slowed me down.

1662389949056.png

FINAL THOUGHTS:

The Limpid Pod is a very simplistic pod with a very nice appearance and performs very well. I personally only use pods at work for stealth vaping and use a diy mint recipe that I mix around 18mg. Normally I would fill one pod with the mint that I use all the time and another pod with another recipe that I am very familiar with to test the flavor production. However, since only one pod was included so I decided to go with the mint recipe since that is where I would get the most use out of the pod.

With a maximum output of 15 watts and the 1.0 ohm coil in the pod it produced a very nice throat hit and the flavor was very good. The airflow, although not adjustable, was a very good fit for me. It’s what I would call a slightly loose MTL vape. It seemed very natural for me and don’t think I would have changed the airflow if I could have.

I really only have one negative thing about the Limpid pod to say and that is that it only included one pod. As far as the appearance and performance goes, I like it very much and it could easily go into my rotation as a favorite.

I’d like to thank Dovpo and Dorothy for sending the Limpid Pod kit for this review. Thanks also to those that have managed to make it to the end of yet another one of my reviews. Below is a link to the website if you’d like to take a look at all of the different Dovpo devices available.

► Innokin Scepter 2 Pod Mod; Product introduction:
For this test I received the TPD version kit in black which I really like, but I must say that all eight colors are pleasant with solid colors for a sober and professional look. Scepter 2 is an evolution of Innokin's famous original Scepter. Numerous changes have been made on scepter 2 to make the Vaping experience more enjoyable and performing. In Scepter 2 the same capacity of the internal battery (1,400mAh) has been maintained but with greater autonomy and more compact dimensions. The air flow control is of the lateral type with a very comfortable and effective sliding door. The refill is also of the lateral type, and it is not necessary to extract the cartridge to fill with e-liquid. You can vary the power through two different settings (high power or normal power). Furthermore, Scepter 2 is compatible with two different S-Coils of 0.5 and 0.6Ω for a restricted MTL and RDL restricted Vaping. The Coils take advantage of the quick coupling system into the pod (Push to fit). Another excellent and recent Innokin device shares the same S-Coils with Scepter 2, it is Scepter Tube. ► Innokin Scepter 2 Pod Mod; how it is made:
Classic form factor and compact size for excellent ergonomics without neglecting the aesthetic side and finishes that are beautiful and refined. The body construction material of the Mod is made of solid zinc alloy. The front panel has a "carbon" style finish above the Fire key. Under the Fire button the body is painted in glossy black and at the bottom you find the inscription "Scepter 2" in Silver. To divide the carbon decoration from the black / glossy paint there is a diagonal bar in silver color with the Fire button in the center with two notification LEDs on its sides. The Fire Button is not protruding, but it is quite detectable by touch. The rear panel is painted black / matt and bears the word "Innokin" at the bottom. Below you can read the operating guide regarding the Fire button and the notification LED:

• Power On / Off: 3 quick clicks on the Fire button
• Power Adjustment: 2 quick clicks on the Fire button to set high (Purple Light) or Medium (Blue Light) power

•• During Vaping, the LED light positioned to the left of the Fire button provides information as follows:
• Purple light: The selected power level is high
• Blue light: The selected power level is normal

•• During Vaping, the LED light positioned to the right of the Fire button provides information as follows:
• Red light: The battery charge level is 10% or less
• Orange light: The battery charge level is between 10 and 30%
• Green light: The battery charge level is between 30 and 100%

•• During charging, the LED light positioned to the right of the Fire button provides information as follows:
• Red light: The battery charge level is below 90%
• Green light: The battery charge level is above 90%
• White light: The battery charge level is 100% completed and the Mod turns off for safety.

► Innokin Scepter 2 Pod Mod; Air Flow Control:
On the side profile of the Mod you will find the 5V / 800mAh Type-C charging port. On the other side there is the adjustable air flow system which is applied directly on the cartridge. Innokin has cleverly created an opening on the upper side profile of the Mod to allow the adjustment of the air flow from the outside via a sliding button and without removing the cartridge from the Mod. Great! The "inverted pear" design allows you to adjust small amounts of air by lowering the sliding button (MTL) while raising the sliding button completely, the air flow that is obtained is of the RDL type.

Innokin-Sceptre-2-Starter-Kit-11.jpg

► Innokin Scepter 2 Pod Mod; Compartment / pod and lower base:
The Compartment / Pod is shaped to keep the airflow adjustable to the outside, so there is no need to remove the cartridge to adjust it. The charging port, on the other hand, is kept hidden inside the compartment. On the bottom of the compartment there are 2 electrical contact pins, 4 small but powerful magnets, and the sensor for the automatic activation of the puffs.

Scepter 2 has a good base and stands up well even when charging. On the bottom, in addition to legal trademarks and logos, there are indications regarding the characteristics of the internal battery.

► Innokin Scepter 2 Pod Mod; Cartridge:
This 2ml cartridge (TPD) is made of dark PCTG and has some white lettering. A cartridge with an increased e-liquid capacity up to 3ml is supplied together with the Standard version of Scepter 2.

Innokin-Sceptre-2-Starter-Kit-13.jpg

The adjustment of the airflow is integrated in the cartridge and as you can see from the image below, there is a cursor button that when raised allows a greater passage of air in tune with the Vaping Mode RDL, by lowering the button you can adjust an increasingly narrow air passage, up to total closure, compliant with the Vaping Mode MTL. The great thing is that you can adjust the air flow at any time and without removing the cartridge from the Mod. By extracting the cartridge you can refill e-liquid through a silicone cap, the side filling hole is generously sized.

Innokin-Sceptre-2-Starter-Kit-14.jpg

In the image below you can admire the beautiful anatomical shape of the spout which is quite small and quite different from the usual flattened and wide shapes that are present on competing cartridges. Once the cartridge is placed in the mod, only the nozzle remains visible, but do not worry, to check that the e-liquid is present inside the cartridge there is no need to extract it, just flip the device and through the Drip Tip you will see if the e-liquid is present inside. On the bottom of the cartridge there are 4 magnets mirroring those present in the compartment.

Innokin-Sceptre-2-Starter-Kit-15.jpg

To work, the S-coils need the threaded adapter visible in the images below, this adapter is included in the kit and every time you replace a coil you will have to unscrew the adapter from the old coil and screw it into the new coil. The coil + adapter complex must be inserted from the bottom inside the cartridge and with a slight pressure.

► Innokin Scepter 2 Pod Mod; Vape Test & Final conclusions:
I was sent the TPD (2ml) version of Scepter 2 which is great, but I remind you that there is the standard version with 3ml cartridge for greater vaping autonomy. For my Vaping test I used "Colonel Custard" e-liquid with 3mg / ml of nic and 50/50 VG-PG. After inserting a few drops of e-liquid inside the coils through the respective chimneys, I installed the coils in their cartridges, I filled both cartridges and I waited about 10 minutes before starting to vape to allow the cotton to absorb well.

• S-Coils 0.5Ω Range 18-20W:
From the very first Puff the flavor was quite faithful and clean with a high vapor production, more than I expected from such a small Coil, but it's no wonder that Innokin's S-Coils are a great choice , at the height of those found on the best tanks with prefabricated coils. With the airflow fully open and with the power boost (Purple Light) the resistance offers interesting performance in RDL. By closing the air flow, a precise and draft-free regulation is obtained, with a decisive increase in Hit even with a low concentration of boost in the liquid. However, if you close the airflow too much it is not advantageous with this coil because the steam tends to heat up too much. To express itself at its best and to function well, it needs a consistent airflow to match this relatively high power of 18- 20W. So with about 50% of AFC opening you get an open, strong and gritty MTL vape, characterized by a marked increase in heat, accompanied by a very good flavor that is in line with the best characteristics of the e- liquid that you will use.

• S-Coils 0.6Ω Range 12-13.5W:
This resistor is the one you find installed by default in the cartridge. I immediately selected the lower of the two available power options (Blue light) which corresponds to 12W of power, compatibly with the battery charge level. With the airflow completely open, the amount of vapor emitted is slightly less than the previous coil and the flavor is not very concentrated. By closing the AFC to 50% there is a noticeable improvement in the quality of the aroma and also in the hit in the throat. This coil also willingly accepts the total closure of the AFC and returns a very narrow Puff MTL but which nevertheless remains fluid and without spitting phenomena. Heat is always acceptable even with maximum airflow restriction. Really good this coil for MTL.

At the end of the test, I found no problems. There are no differences between automatic shooting and manual shooting, they both respond quickly. The Puff is sufficiently quiet, with every degree of AFC opening. The formation of condensation is practically zero, after an interminable series of chain vaping with both coils it has never accumulated. There are no spitting phenomena even after a few days of using both coils. The 1,400mAh battery seems to have an excellent charge range and manages the power curve well even when the battery is almost empty. While charging, you can use the Pass trough function. A full charge cycle takes approximately 120 minutes.

Scepter 2 is a new Pod-Mod project from Innokin with great replaceable coils, there are some interesting features that really make a difference compared to other budget kits. So if you are thinking of treating yourself to a new entry-level Vaping System for MTL and RDL I recommend that you seriously consider purchasing the Scepter 2 Pod Mod.

I would like to thank Timmy and Innokin for providing me with the kit. I hope this review was useful for anyone looking to buy the Innokin Scepter 2 Pod Mod.

Thanks for reading.
