I spent about four hours yesterday doing lawn work and am paying for it today. I ran my new dethatcher yesterday then cleaned that up. After that was seed and fertilizer. Then mulch in the backyard and I still had dirt in the wheelbarrow from the stones project that needed taken care of. Holy cow my back was sore last night and this morning. It’s finally feeling a little better now.

Oh yeah. If I had a lift I wouldn't think twice about doing it myself. Makes all the difference in the world. He's probably gonna charge me a few hundred and in as much as it kills me to pay that it's still better than gimping around for the next week. I basically rebuilt my entire truck a few years ago except for the engine and tranny. But the steering, suspension, brakes, and a bunch of other stuff has been replaced and now the rack completes it. If I tried doing that now I'd die. In fact, I just flat cannot do it anymore. I have an online mechanic buddy who has MS. He's a career mechanic and as bright as it gets with automobiles. But his MS absolutely prohibits him from working on his cars anymore. It kinda hurts him but he's accepted it and just hires out now. He's our age.

One (of the many) things I despise about the Modern World is this whole sub-culture of so called 'influencers' .. people who attempt to eek a living out of whatever seems to be the Flavor of the Minute ..

A prime, current example of this is the made up controversy surrounding Cracker Barrel .. like, there are not enough really important things to think about ..

I like Cracker Barrel, I've always liked Cracker Barrel .. I still like Cracker Barrel .. but hey, We, the Cracker Barrel people are, lets face it, getting old and dying out .. I went to Cracker Barrel maybe a month ago, and it was 80% old folks, just like me .. that's not a sustainable Business Model ..

Why blame a place for attempting to appeal to a younger crowd .. ?? And, yeah, the old stuff hanging on the walls was OK, but it was not why I would go there .. I just liked the Fried Catfish or the Chicken Fried Steak .. maybe breakfast for dinner once in a while ..
