Closed/Sold High-End 4 RTA Bundle at STUPID Price

Hi, I noticed that you carried the Viggo mech mod from vape jam in copper, I actually have one of the originals and lost some parts of it. I’m desperately trying to find any Viggo I can find but it’s so rare to find. Do you still have any of them by chance?

Thanks, all is well here. Hope you and fam are well too!

By "dams", do you mean the juice wells where you tuck the wick tails into?

The length, and thickness, of the wick tails play a role with whatever juice viscosity is being used.

Thicker juices (80VG/20PG, 70VG/30PG) and higher wattages generally require tails that don't touch the bottoms of the juice wells and they need to be thinned out more. I've seen some builds with tails that were very short and seriously thinned out, but they work!

60VG/40PG, 50VG/50PG or 40VG/60PG being thinner. generally, require thicker tails and tails that "just" touch the bottoms of the juice wells.

Too much wick placed in the juice wells will cause problems with more juice being absorbed into the tails. In general, the tails should never be longer than the depth of the wells.

One more thought, have you tried single wire coil builds in Cloudy? Claptons and other exotic coils suck-up more juice (that pools on the coil). A single wire build won't suck-up as much juice, nearly no pooling, versus Clapton's (or other exotic coils) and just "might" make Cloudy less likely to leak (might???). IDK, just thinking out loud!

I use single wire coil builds in most of my RTAs and RDAs. There are a few that I use Clapton's in. Sometimes I use Aliens (and others, just depends!).

Good luck and I hope you are able to get Cloudy squared away!
Good to hear all is well, we are doing alright, thank you :)

Dam might not be the right term - the back of the juice wells project up above the deck like a little wall that seperates the deck airflow from the wells,

I have tried single wire builds and still experienced either dry hits or leaking at various times.
Sometimes things would work fine for a few tanks and then get some seeping.
I use 70vg mostly.
Have had tails stuffed, filled but loose, up slightly off the bottom, just into the wells.
I haven't found any of those to work 100% though.
I just might be horrible at wicking though I have had fewer issues with some other RTAs.
When I clean it next I'll check all the o-rings and try out hitt's and your suggestions.

Regarding o-rings, I remember reading (somewhere) that some of the Fat Rabbits had a issue with the chimney o-ring being twisted new out of the box but don't recall if that was specific to the dual coil version or the Solo.
If that was an actual issue, I think I only changed out one (of 3 tanks) but don't recall any o-rings actually looking messed up on any of them.

Thanks again to you and hitt for trying to help figure it out!

I don't have a Hellvape Fat Rabbit Solo.

Perhaps (maybe???) the reason you are getting leakage/seeping is because the shoulders of your wick, where they come out of the coil, are resting on the deck where the airflow is under the coil.

And maybe, drawing excess juice to the path of least resistance, the airflow sitting under the coil???

My Atmizoo Tripod RTA has a "similar" build deck. And it's deck is very much like all the newer Kayfun RTA's.

What most of us with Kayfun's learned is to move the wick shoulders away from the airflow. And that's also what I do with my Tripod.

Like so.............. Tripod deck.......

I use a sewing needle to move the wick away from the center block where the AF is. Moving the wick shoulders away from the center AF block I don't get any seeping/leakage with my Tripod or modern Kayfun's.

And I also have my coil about 2mm above the AF. Your second photo looks to be ~2mm above also???

Maybe try moving your wick shoulders away from the center AF block and see if that helps???

Just a thought. :)
Howdy, SMT, I hope you and yours are well :)

Thank you, I'll have to try and see if I can keep the wick off the deck to see if that helps.
They do have little "dams" between the deck airflow and the wicking ports but they are barely as wide as the airflow and less than the ports.
I do pretty much always have some wick beyond those sitting on each side of the deck.
I will see if I can't get the cotton just over those and into the ports without touching the deck

I’m surprised I didn’t think of that because I have to do something similar with my siren V1 tanks. If the cotton rests on the airflow inlet then it floods.

I still use the Cottonman Mavaton and Carolina cottons. I like his cottons because 1) he and his family have been growing cotton for well over 100+ years in the USA and 2) it's certified organic.

I also use TIDI rayon cotton balls.

Every other wick change, in an RTA or RDA, I switch between the two.
I tried rayon a couple times but didn’t care for it. The cotton you suggested is definitely superior but I already had a bunch of the COTN threads. Also, I’m a bit lazy and the threads make life easy.

Good morning, gloop. :) Wishing you a very nice day.
Hi, Fran, thank you very much

I'm not up to very much today, just started on The Laundry.
I sort of feel like mixing up a tester or two but am not excited about any recipes at the moment.
I guess I should browse through my many unmixed ideas, maybe something will spark me.
