Many knew this was coming. Some were in total denial, others weren't. Many of us made proper preparations.

The Chinese manufacturers very clearly understand the market and perhaps more importantly what governments around the globe are doing with regulations.

The trend is for closed systems. Those are the only vape devices being approved in the USA. I can see the majority of other countries eventually following suit. The EU has slowly been tightening the noose.

Eventually decent quality vape gear will only be available via FB groups and/or other channels. We are already very near that point.

It is what it is . . .

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It'll be interesting to see how the UK's influence plays out over the next 20 years. I will be rolling in my grave when Americans are still dying to cigarettes as the #1 cause for health problems and death, and the UK will be over there snickering.

The absolute worse part is that Americans will not be able to connect the dots and see this as a prime example of how much lobbying is f'ing criminal - that would require a double digit cell count in the brain and just a shred of care about something other than money.

Heather's Heavenly Vapes - THE BIG THREAD (Part 6)

Afternoon.... Took myself out to a late lunch. Had some good fish and chips. It's a pub style place so not a big menu, but it was good. And it's my Birthday so what the heck...

HEADS UP - NEWS - UPDATES! (When we know, you'll know!)

Excellent commentary by Nicole Lee, Professor at the National Drug Research Institute (Melbourne), Curtin University and Brigid Clancy, PhD Candidate (Psychiatry) & Research Assistant, University of Newcastle:

“Vaping is not risk-free, but several detailed reviews of the evidence plus a consensus of experts have all estimated it’s at least 95% safer to vape nicotine than to smoke tobacco. The risk of cancer from vaping, for example, has been estimated at less than 1%.
These reviews looked at the known dangerous chemicals in cigarettes, and found there were very few and in very small quantities in nicotine vapes. So the argument that we won’t see major health effects for a few more decades is causing more alarm than is necessary.”

“The question is not whether we should discourage teens from using vaping products or whether we should allow wider accessibility to vaping products for adults as an alternative to smoking. The answer to both those questions is yes.”

Don't get me started on Geekvape CS. I quit using their products because of that.
It's pretty sad how lackluster customer service is in the vape world. It's very odd to run into a rep where they're flat out kind and considerate; this shouldn't surprise me but it does.

This Geekvape Aegis Solo has been driving me nuts every time I use it. Charging a 40w stick to use. Tempted to toss the Aegis but it will probably go back in the box. If I put it down for awhile it screws up and will ask if I have a new coil or old. It does this over and over, every time I pick it up to use.

Afternoon Shinys! Not too much going on. I rewicked about 8 RBAs last night and have probably another 8 that need rebuilding.

I bought a bunch of the Hellvape Ni80 dual core fused claptons at .36 ohms that I really really like. I ordered one package when I was purchased the Blaze and Tauren RBAs just to try them out.

I don’t really care for anything more than a dual core of whatever. The ramp up time and power needed is annoying to me without any benefit in better flavor or denser vape.

These ramp up quickly and have been lasting quite awhile before needing to replace.

I got them at one of the Chinese stores and at a really good price.

Where did you find the Blaze Solo rta? It isn't even up for preorder at sourcemore.
I have two of them. I thought I got them from sourcemore or maybe vape sourcing or 3F. I’ll see if I can find the receipt but it was definitely from one of the Chinese stores. And I got them at least two months ago.

Now that I’m thinking more about it maybe it was HealthCabin. Again I’ll try to find out.

Officially taking that step over to Rdtas/RDAs. Wish me good good luck in my travels lol.

Im curious, why the stocking up whats happening
In the USA they are attacking the right of people to vape. Plus I just like having the piece of mind know that if something becomes hard to get that I have some put up. Also for me personally were I live it is nearly impossible to get coils for anything other the sub ohm tanks. So I want to stock up in case they stop shipping to my state. I would much rather stock up on supplies now then be forced to go back to smoking cigarettes.

I am a retired tech support guy, not a doctor, just another vaper, so I may not use all of the correct terms. Years back I was an advocate but could not get any traction....so I just vape.

A few years back things looked dire, and people were right to stock up before items became unavailable. Vaping has been crushed under rules and regulations at the local, county, state and federal levels in the USA. Around the world it isn't much better and some countries have stiff laws to suppress it. Many adults probably did not have an opportunity to try vaping out and went back to smoking.

The whole point to vaping was to only use nicotine and as few other substances to produce something akin to smoking(give the nicotine fix), but reduce tuberculosis and cancer.

There are new laws and attacks against vaping every day in the USA. Right now Senator Schumer in NY, USA, is going after pod manufacturers because they advertise on TikTok.

Your best bet is to try one or two things out in a specific area(pods, box mods, squonkers, atomizers, nicotine base), and if something works for you, buy 10 of them. They aren't going to come knocking on your door to stop you from vaping. They attack the shipping and sale of the goods.

Like many others here on this site, I have a couple of gallons of raw nicotine(100mg/ml), know how to create basic eliquids which is called DIY, and we have multiple ways in which to vape(I use pods and drippers).

Once you start down this path, you either protect what you are doing with knowledge and purchases or you go back to smoking.
Totally agree that is why I want to get a bit of a stash going. So that if it every becomes hard to get the stuff. I will have some put away.

I bought some here a couple times.

That’s where I just ordered from. Also ordered a Target 100 from Sourcemore.

Yeah, it feels naggy to keep asking for non-pod devices, but I think it has to be done. Some of the vendors asking us to do reviews don't really know what we like unless we explicitly state it.

Eleaf reached out to me recently to do reviews for them and I told the rep as long as it isn't pods/disposables, I'm game. They respectfully agreed and so I'm waiting for their next 510 kit/mod release. I suppose this is a big upside to doing reviews for e-commerce sites over brand vendors.

Edit: You know this is going to get much worse before it gets any better.
I'm afraid you are right. It has gotten consitently worse with almost everything coming for review is pods. I'm almost at the point where I could write maybe 2-3 reviews and switch pictures and it would cover most of the pods sent out. There's only so many things they can do with pods.
Also, I feel quite annoyed and I want to rant, so I will, but I'll keep it short.

Back in October of 2022, I won a giveaway from Vaporesso's site. It included a Luxe XR and a $100 Amazon gift certificate. I gave them around 2 months to get it sorted and patiently waited for the Amazon gift certificate via email and it never showed. Meanwhile, I was getting emails from other contestants that won asking me if I'd received my prizes yet. I told them I had not, but to give them some time. I emailed Vaporesso asking them if they were in the process of mailing out gift cards from the giveaway, and I was told that they were already sent. I checked all of my email folders - spam, trash, entire inbox - nothing. I told them I had not received one and if they had in fact emailed me one, to please screen shot the sent email so that I had a time stamp to look for. They told me they'll look into it.

Fast forward another month, and I was finally able to get a response on the Luxe XR and I was able to get it shipped to me. Still nothing on the gift certificate. I asked about the gift card again and they repeated that they'd look into it.

About a month and a half ago, I once again asked about the gift card, and the response was that they'd get in contact with the back office and have one sent out.

Today, I've had enough. I sent an email stating I no longer care about the gift card, and that I will no longer be promoting or positively reviewing their products. It isn't about the money, it's about not following through and ultimately disappointment. Do what you say, say what you do. It's quite simple. You want to treat the people that buy your products like $h!t, then you deserve it right back.

I don't expect this to sway any of your opinions on Vaporesso as I think they make some stellar products, but you won't see me suggesting or supporting them any longer. Just know that if you win a contest or a giveaway that they're dangling in front of your face, don't expect a damn thing.

- rant over -
That would make me mad too. I am stocked to the gills with Vaporesso coils and some hardware so won't be giving it up but I can definitely understand your anger on this. I haven't used one Geekvape mod since I got angry with them and I have two boxes full of mods, tanks, and pod mods from them.
