The exterior of the novelty is classic - a brick mod, the edges of which are, however, rounded. So far, the only possible decor is carbon imitation. In general, the appearance is quite calm, but I would like to see other versions of the design.

The dimensions are quite modest, it seems to me that the manufacturer cheated, declared the height of the device without drip types. By the way, the latter will be included in the kit as many as two, they are clearly designed for a different style of vaping.

But there is no information about the landing - most likely it will be 510th. A removable cartridge of good capacity, most likely a side refill. You can track the level of liquid inside it without any problems.

The vape pod mod includes two types of replaceable evaporators, one of which is made on a grid. The good news is the information that these coils are from the popular BVC series. Airflow control, fortunately, is available.

Hey, vapers.

I recently purchased the Nitecore UMS4 charger, hoping to increase my charge time from my Nitecore UM4 charger.

The UMS4 is listed as pushing 2A per slot when charging two batteries.

This is curious because the unit itself, and the QC charger I'm using with it, are both 3 amps.

How can a 3A charger supply 2A per slot (4A) ?

Charging the batteries, I found the UMS4 to charge slower than my UM4 at 1.5A per slot.

I've followed all the directions, including using slot 2/4 or 1/3... I've tried two different QC chargers.... the box literally says '3A' charger on it..... so....

What is the story here. Is the battery meter giving false information, saying that the slots are receiving 2000mA each ? What do you think ?

Any comments will be appreciated. I've reached out to Nitecore via this forum, and was told to email customer service. Still haven't heard back.

Is there such a thing as an air flow driven device? Sometimes I pick up my device and do a slow gentle draw and if the wattage is set high everything starts cooking. Then if you set the wattage low and take a a good fast draw it's like sucking the water out of a wet blanket.
For me it is really frustrating how much you have to concentrate on the speed of your draw and if you feel like doing multiple successive draws your coils and juice start cooking as well.
Looking forward to any info to help me make a more informed decision or advice on how to rig my tanks better to suit my varying draw speeds.
I have a Vaporesso Swag 2 with either Pangu tank or a Serpent Mini on and a Vaporesso Gen 2 with a Geekvape Zeus X Mesh on. Any of the combinations are great if you maintain a consistent draw speed and don't draw to many times successively.

These tests below only note the ESTIMATED ratings for these batteries at the time I tested them. Any battery that is not a genuine Samsung, Sony, Murata, LG, Panasonic, Molicel, or Sanyo can change at any time! This is one of the hazards of using “rewrapped” or batteries from other manufacturers so carefully research any battery you are considering using before purchasing.

Misusing or mishandling lithium-ion batteries can pose a SERIOUS RISK of personal injury or property damage. They are not meant to be used outside of a physically and electrically protected battery pack. Never exceed the battery’s current rating and keep the plastic wrap and top insulating ring in perfect condition. Use of any of these batteries is AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Testing batteries at their limits is dangerous and should never, ever, be attempted by anyone who has not thoroughly studied the dangers involved, understands the risks, has the proper equipment, and takes all appropriate safety precautions.

If the battery has only one current rating number, or if it only says "max", then I have to assume the battery is rated at that current level for any type of discharge, including continuous.




Test Results
Epoch is the house brand for 18650BatteryStore and this appears to be a rewrap of the great performing Samsung 50G, the best ultra-high capacity 21700 available right now. It outperforms the Samsung 50E2, 50E, and 48G.

This cell’s 10A current rating is accurate in my opinion. The capacity of the two cells I tested was 4873mAh and 4909mAh. Since the two cells I have cannot be the lowest capacity ones in the batch I am rating this cell at 4800mAh.

Two versions are available, flat top and button top. The button top version is about 73.0mm long.

The white plastic top insulating ring is thick and should resist being damaged for a very long time. The Samsung 50G has a slightly recessed top contact though and this top ring recesses it even further. I was not able to charge these cells using an Opus BT-C3400 or Gyrfalcon All-88 charger. You will need devices and a charger with contacts that stick out a lot to use this battery.

I can't believe there's no thread for this device, yet.

I got this about 9 days ago, popped in the Ka1 mesh strip, and I haven't put it down.

It's a great value. In the box there's a single 18650 70 watt, TC and bypass capable mod, 2 different styles of pods (one is designed specifically for their drop-in coils... haven't used these yet... may never use them. The other is designed for the RBA deck. Both have their own AFC and press fit 510 drip tip, but a regular 510 works, too.), a USB-C charge and update cable, 2 mesh sized cotton shoelaces, 4 strips of mesh, a special little grip tool for pulsing your coils in the mod, 2 drip tips (510), extra grub screws, 5 SS ropes (for wicking... that's 4 to use and a spare), and a regular fused clapton coil. There's probably more... I'm writing this from memory... The RBA pod holds around 5ml, and the coil pod holds around 3ml.

Building is as simple as any other mesh RTA, and wicking is actually easier. With the Profile Unity or Doom, a doom, a bad wick job can leave you with horrendous leaks, soul scorching dry hits, or both. I've had neither with this... rewicked it 3 times.

Filling is simple, too. A silicon plug is popped out of an ample hole, juice is squirted in, and the hole plugged again.

Because of its zinc alloy construction, it weighs almost exactly the same amount as my Billet Box, but it's just a touch smaller.

On one side, there's a slit looking into the pod to check the juice level... it's OK, and I've never run dry, but you can't see the whole pod... just a sliver of it. On the other side, there's a nice clicky button. To be honest, during the first day of use, it got stuck a couple times. Never enough to scorch the wick, but it was a concern. Since then, it hasn't stuck at all. On top is the AFC and drip tip. On the bottom, there's some venting and a little engraving. The solid back side is emblazoned with the word Kylin... HUGE meshed out letters. The front side is a pretty panel featuring IML graphics. This panel is removable and provides access to the pod - which will pop right out with a gentle, angle tug of the drip tip - the battery compartment - which, sadly, has the polarity marked black on black - the small screen, and the adjustment buttons.

I'm not gonna run through all the menu options, here. It's pretty simple. As I'm using the Ka1 mesh strip, I've had it set to between 48 and 53 watts. It does adjust in 1 watt increments. Oh, yeah, it's 5 clicks on/five clicks off. I ought to also point out that the TC mode (which I've not checked yet) defaults to SS, and there is no Ni or Ti but the TCR can be adjusted.

The deck is, IMO, quite nice... innovative, even. It takes the spring loaded ceramic block and facing clamps found first in the Profile, and adds tiny notches to the clamps allowing for really easy installation of standard coils. The way the AFC and drip tip is set up makes this usable as a mini RDA... no need to fill the tank.

Oh, yeah, like the Vandy Vape Swell, the PCB is waterproof... if your tank does leak (mine hasn't and I've had this thing everywhere, in every position), the board won't fry.

I can only think of two cons: for its size, it's kinda heavy... I'm thinking that if they had used the same nylon fiber they used on the Swell, it would have been... hmmm... swell; the Kylin logo on the back is a little over the top (although it's not as bad on mine - the gray bodied variant - as it is on the black model).

Other than that, this is a stellar device and has quickly become a part of my EDC.

I got these bottles from a friend who got them from a shop owner who closed his shop.
The dots on bottle are supposed to be filled in for the nic level, but they are not filled in.. could this mean they are 0 nic or is it a total mystery?

I recently purchased a smok V2 species mod.

my question is about the temp control. it looks like it can support over 600 degrees for nickel tanks but only up to 300 for stainless steel.

i have a stainless steel tank, but i need it to go up to 500+ degrees.

is it safe to tell my mod that the tank is Nickel so i can increase the temperature?

I've used this tank on older mods at this temperature and it didn't explode or anything, but there was a slight popping sound every time I hit it.

Hello again everyone it's time for another review today and it's from Vaporesso again, only todays review will be on a full sized device and tank that comes in a very nice kit. The device being reviewed is the Gen S along with the NRG-S tank. The Gen S is the original Gen mod but with new colors and the new NRG-S tank that is included in the kit. Opening up my Gen-S kit revealed a tray that the Gen-S and NRG-S tank sat in, underneath the tray was a box containing a spare 5ml glass, GT4 Meshed coil, 4 O-rings, braided metal charge cable, extra fill slot gasket, owners manual and warranty card. The NRG-S tank comes with the 8ml bubble glass already installed.



Picking the mod up the first thing I noticed was the rubber like coating of the mod itself, the hand feel of it just screamed comfort. The second thing that stood out was the weight before attaching the NRG-S tank, this is a full sized mod but it didn't feel like it. Even after installing the battery's which is done by removing a panel, the mod itself has a tiny groove at the bottom to assist you. There are 18 ventilation holes underneath the mod as shown.



The battery tray utilizes a ribbon to make battery removal easier. The battery panel is held in place using 4 magnets and it fits solidly , I have 0 movement of the battery panel.




The NRG-S tank has a screw off bottom cap that coil screws into. This tank is of a top fill type that uses a 510 diameter hole but because the drip tip is very wide bore it vapes like a 810 diameter. The top cap neither unscrews or slides instead the top cap swivels by locating small arrow and pushing in on the top cap where it swings out with a click to reveal the fill slot. I have had no trouble using Gorilla 100ml juice bottles because the top cap swings out far enough to access the fill slot 100%. I have had 0 mess filling the NRG-S tank. Closing the top cap also ends with a click. Both the top cap and bottom cap have knurling helping add some grip and I find it a attractive accent of the tank.




Both coils provided give a very nice flavorful vape, using the preinstalled 0.18Ω coil I found it to be very airy even when closing down the duel air slot. ( air lovers dream ). Although it was airy I still had very good flavor at my sweet spot of 65w.



My preferred coil is the GT 4, that for me seemed to refine and smoothen out the vape with even better flavor.





THE GEN S MOD


As we move into the mod portion of the review I must again reiterate on just how good the coating of the mod feels in the hand, I wish every mod would use it. The Gen S is a duel 18650 that has a range of 5-220w and scrolls in .1 increments if taped but will scroll in 1w increments if held. Turning on as well as off is done by pressing the power button 5 times quickly. Turning the device on you are greeted with the Vaporesso logo, after the Gen S is on and a tank is installed the device will ask new / old load and after making your selection the Gen S will begin scanning the tanks resistance and determine a wattage starting point and start you at that wattage, this is just a starting point so you don't burn up a new coil, you can still adjust your wattage.

Unlike most mods that have 3 buttons (power, up, and down buttons ) the Gen S utilizes 4 buttons with the 4th being a dedicated menu button making it easier for the user without having to remember different button combinations. Locking the adjustment and menu buttons is done with 3 quick presses of the power button, the power button remains unlocked allowing the user to still be able to vape. The device will show a locked symbol on the display , if you try to adjust or use the menu a reminder of 3 presses to unlock will be on the display screen.

THE MENU


When first entering the menu by pressing and holding the menu Pulse mode will be displayed first and by pressing the down button will move you along to the next mode which is Power Eco mode, in power eco mode when activated the Gen S will conserve battery life when battery power is low, the next mode is Smart TC for temperature control users, next up is DIY mode and while in DIY mode pressing the menu button again will display another screen, first up is variable wattage next is variable temp, next is variable voltage, then bypass and finally super player mode in which once selected the user can use a coil as low as .03Ω.

Next in the menu is system set that once in allows the user to clear the puff counter, adjust brightness level, use smart variable wattage, flip the screen, turn on/off Auto Eco mode, default, version and finally exit.

The Gen S uses a 0.91' OLED screen that has all the information displayed in a nice layout that uses a battery % instead of a battery graph which I like better. There is one thing I'm torn on and that's the color of the power button being Gold, some days I wish it was the same color as the other button, today I'm glad it's Gold.




Overall I really like the Gen S Kit for all of it's features and I would recommend it highly especially because it has functioned flawlessly, feels great in the hand, puts out above average flavor and it's so attractive.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Well as you can probably tell I really like the Gen S Kit from Vaporesso and highly recommend it to anyone from a new vaper to a veteran vaper, because the menu system is so easy to understand, a new vaper should have no problem understanding and using this kit. Vaporesso gen s kit contains nrg s sub ohm tank and gen s mod. You can buy this kit in 12 different colors which is really good in my opinion. Packaging is good, in the package with this atomizer and mod you will receive spare tank for the atomizer and two coils.









Atomizer:

Nrg s sub ohm tank is 30mm in diameter with bubble glass tank and this atomizer is 56mm in height with drip tip. On the atomizer you can see some details, on the top you can see one arrow where you need to push the top cap, also on the top you can see some details so you can unscrew this part, on the airflow control ring you can see the same details and here you can see "Vaporesso", from the bottom you can see "NRG-S". Build quality of the atomizer is good and there is nothing to complain about.










Atomizer comes with really nice drip tip that is comfortable for using. This is a 510 drip tip which is good because if you don't like this one you can use here any other 510 drip tip that you like.
This is a top fill atomizer and as I said on the top you can see the arrow where you need to push in order to see the fill hole. You can fill this atomizer pretty much easy. So far this top fill system works really good.
You will receive this atomizer with bubble glass tank preinstalled and capacity of the tank is 8ml which is really good capacity. In the package you will receive one more tank and this tank has 5ml capacity which is again really good capacity.











With this atomizer you will receive two coils. Coil that you will receive in the atomizer is gt mesh coil, this coil has 0.18ohm resistance and recommended power for this coil is 50-85w, coil that you will receive in the package is gt4 coil and this is a dual mesh coil, resistance of this coil is 0.15ohm and recommended power for this coil is 50-75w. For this atomizer you can buy different coils which is really nice, you can buy: GT1, GT2, GT4, GT6, GT8, GT CCELL, GT CCELL2, GT MESHED i GT4 MESHED. It is important to say that before you use the coil you need to prime it with few drops of eliquid and then you can fill the tank.
On the base you can see the airflow control ring, on the ring you can see two airflow slots. On the airflow control ring we have some details that helps with airflow adjustment so you can pretty easy adjust the airflow here.












Mod:

Vaporesso gen mod is powered by two 18650 batteries and this mod works up to 220w. Dimensions of the device are 93.5 x 53 x 27mm and I can say that this device is very comfortable for using especially because of rubber coating and because edges are rounded.
I really like the design of the mod and in my opinion it looks very good, this mod comes in few different colors which is very nice. From one side of the mod you can see "Vaporesso", from the other side you can see logo and from the bottom of the mod you can see "Gen S". Build quality of the mod is good, there is nothing bad about quality here and mod is scratch resistant which is very nice.











From the top of the mod you can see the connection, threads on the connection are good and I didn't have any problems. We have here gold plated spring loaded 510 pin. On this mod connection is placed at the middle and I belive many will like that. On this mod you can use atomizers up to 26mm in diameter which is nice, usually I use atomizers up to 25mm in diameter.





From one side of the mod you can see the battery cover. Battery cover stays in the place because of magnets and battery cover stays perfect in the place, there is no any play which is very good. On the battery cover you can see the slot and you will use this slot to take off the battery cover using your fingernail. When you take off the battery cover you can see battery orientation engraved and you can easily put the batteries in the mod and you can pretty much easy take the batteries out. Under the battery cover you can see engravings, "Axon chip" and "Designed by Vaporesso". When you put the batteries in the mod and when you shake the device you can't hear any rattling which is very good.













From the front of the mod you can see the fire button, plus, minus and menu buttons and also you can see the screen and usb port.
On this device you will use usb port for software upgrade but you can also use it to charge your batteries because this device supports balanced charging, but as always I suggest you to charge your batteries in the external charger.
The fire button is protruding and the fire button is clicky, it works without any problems, buttons are also clicky and buttons works fine.















To turn on the device you need to click 5 times on the fire button, you need to do the same to turn the mod off.

When you turn on the the device on the screen you can see:

When you click 3 times on the fire button you will lock the buttons but you will be able to use the fire button, to unlock the buttons you need to do the same. When you hold the fire button and menu button you can see software version, chip and serial number.


My thoughts:

So let me start with the atomizer, as I said build quality of the atomizer is good and there is nothing to complain about here. This atomizer is compatible with 510 drip tips which is really good. It is easy to fill the tank and so far this top fill system works really good. Capacity of the tank with preinstalled bubble glass is 8ml which is really good capacity. With this atomizer you will receive two coils and both coils performs really well. Flavor is really good on this tank and I like a lot gt4 coils. It is very easy to adjust the airflow here and we have a lot of airflow here. Basically this is a very solid sub ohm tank that performs really well.
Build quality of the mod is good and everything is as it should be, also because of rubber coating it is scratch resistant. In my opinion mod is comfortable for using, but have in mind that this mod is a bit taller, edges are rounded and I really like the feel of the mod.
The fire button and the rest of the buttons works really good and I didn't have any problems. On this mod you can use atomizers up to 26mm in diameter which for me is more than okay. The connection is just a little bit raised which is good. The screen of the mod is small and someone will like that someone will not, anyway on the screen we have all informations that we need and considering that you can adjust the brightness I can say that you can see everything very good on the screen. Mod supports balanced charging which is good but as always I suggest you to charge the batteries in the external charger.
This mod is not complicated for using and it supports many working modes, personally I really like vv working mode, but probably many will like other working modes here. Also I really like the flip screen option.
Gen mod works really good, I use my dl atomizers and my mtl atomizers here and I like to use vw working mode with normal pre heat and I like to use vv mode, so far I didn't have any problems.
So, vaporesso gen s kit is really nice kit in my opinion that works without any problems, build quality is good, mod supports many working modes and in my opinion design of the mod is really nice.

Today a new review from me, this time the new Innokin Sceptre. Innokin calls it a pod mod on their website, but to me it’s a regular pod since it does not have a screen. It is an elegant looking pod with colors aiming for both men and women. It allows for either MTL or RDL.






Let’s jump into some specifications and features to start with:

Pity that in the box there is not a second pod, would have been nice to be able to have both coils plugged inside the pod for easy vape-style changing.







Thoughts and experience:

It is an elegant looking pod, and I am very happy to have received the black and blue version, they are gorgeous. Really like the honeycomb design of the top, would have been nicer if it had the same pattern on the other side as well. In the user manual and on the website I was not able to find from what material the body of this pod is made, but Innokin informed me it is Zinc Alloy. The bottom part however is made from silicone giving it a very nice grip. The Zinc alloy upper part is very prone to fingerprints, they are all over the place. Honeycomb design seems to be made from plastic. Overall its not a light-weight pod, but also not heavy. 95g is all it ways which is a comfortable weight for me for a pod.






Fire button is tiny and in my opinion the placement is a bit awkward. Since the mouthpiece is directed into a different direction and cannot be turned it just feels uncomfortable to fire. Good news is that the draw-activation really works well and that is pretty much the only way I have been using this device. Fire button feels too loose and it rattles quite a lot, it should have been placed much tighter in there.

There is one button and that’s all there is. Ability to choose between two wattage levels is nice, but changing the level takes some steps, first the device needs to be turned off, then hold the fire button until it selects the wattage level you prefer. This device also has a 3 click on/off as most innokin devices do, if not all. One cool feature which is useful is the tiny built-in flashlight. This light turns on when inserting the pod and clicking the fire button and it helps to see the liquid level in darkness. LED indicators are tiny, but bright enough to see. Honestly, I do not see the point of having 3 led lights, it could have been all combined into one really. It is a good thing there is 2 level-wattage option and battery indication.





Pods that go in this device are quite unique if its about design. It is not a coil plug system, but instead you must unlock the base of the pod to replace coils, it is an easy twist and the lock signs help to figure out which way to turn. Coils screw into place easily. Very nice that you can replace a coil with the pod being about 70-80% full of liquid. Pods fall and click right into place and having the ‘braille’ type of design on the side makes it easy to take out the pod with one finger. Did not experience any leaking and not even a tiny drop of condensation I could find on the base of the design, properly sealed it is.

Mouthpiece is comfortable for both MTL and RDL, it is in average a bit taller than other pods which I like.

On the base of the pod you also have the airflow regulator. Innokin wrote MTL and RDL on there to know which way to turn. Ring turns smoothly and easily, it can be a bit harder for people with VERY short nails, but I guess much shorter than mine is rare.

Probably this is the first fill plug that I was able to open easily on a pod, I often have issues opening those tiny rubbers. Innokin left a gap in front of the plug for it to be much easier accessible. Filling up is generally mess-free, but the fill port is also on the small side, you will have a hard time filling with large-tip bottles. The ‘minimum’ on the front of the pod and on the side of the pod helps to see if there is enough liquid. Even though the pod is fully inserted into the device, on the side you can still properly see the liquid level, and here the ‘minimum’ indication line helps. 3ml is average, for MTL it is more than enough, but with the RDL coil I must refill frequently.



One of the most impressive things about this pod is the battery. 1400mAh is a lot for such wattage levels. When vaping solely this device with the MTL coil I can get around 2 full days out of one charge. With the RDL coil inserted you will get around a full day. Charging the device takes a bit long though, a 90% charge takes about 100 minutes and a full charge around 2 hours. USB-C would have helped charging time a bit here, pity they went with Micro -USB.

These coils are TINY, wow. See below a picture of the coils next to the Innokin Z coil. Performance wise they are proper. The MTL coil delivers a nice smooth vape with proper flavor, kind of the standard flavor you expect from a pod, nothing special, but it takes one refill to break in properly. If its about airflow on this coil, fully to the MTL side you get a quite loose type of MTL draw, could have been tighter for me. When fully open to the RDL side the draw activation does not even react as there is too little drag, even in the middle it does not react as good. This means that that you really get one proper airflow for MTL which is fully towards MTL.



Really liking the RDL coil delivering very nice flavor and a smooth draw. The RDL airflow settings seems about right giving it a slightly loose direct lung hit. This coil shines best at its highest 20W setting. The RDL coil can quite well be used for MTL as well by setting it to the MTL airflow setting. It is for those that like a loose warm MTL vape. Flavor wise this coil beats the MTL coil, would have been nice of the MTL coil also would have been a higher resistance mesh coil.

Knowing Innokin coils I can say that these coils will have a proper lifespan, especially the MTL coil will serve me for a long time with its low wattage levels.

Conclusion:

Overall, I really like this pod for both MTL and RDL. Flavor wise the MTL coil is nothing special, but the RDL coil delivers good flavor.

Things I think that can be improved are the fire button that is in there loosely, the MTL airflow could have been tighter and 2A charging or USB-C to charge quicker.

If you are looking for a pod with proper battery life for on the road then this is a good choice.

My expectation is that the kit itself will cost somewhere around 30$ and knowing Innokin coils the price of a 5 pack will be somewhere around 10-12$.
