Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by to read another one of my reviews. Today I will be going over the Beest RTA by Thunderhead Creations (THC). This RTA has been out for a while, and I personally have not had a Tauren atomizer, so when I got the chance I dove right in. The Beest is a compact, 24mm, dual coil bottom airflow RTA. It holds 2ml of liquid or 4ml with bubble glass. It doesn’t bring anything too fancy to the table, but it looks purdy, so let’s dive in and see what it’s all about eh?

FIRST IMPRESSIONS





Alright, so what do we have here? For starters, I dig how this came. THC places everything within a metal tube, inside a soft pouch. It is a great presentation and builds excitement up. Ok, so it is out of the box and let’s look this over top to bottom. Up top we have an Ultem 810. Yeah, it’s ultem, gross. Next, we see a nicely knurled design with knurling on the top cap and the AFC. I instantly grabbed the top cap to see how it feels and it surprisingly is glorious. It isn’t a full thread, it isn’t a half thread. It is something in between, and it is butter smooth and satisfying. It also reveals some massive refill ports for your pleasure. At the middle, you will see a factory installed straight 2ml glass. If you want more capacity there is also a 4.5ml bubble section made of PC. Yes, this can crack with citrus liquids, so use with caution. Lastely, down at the bottom is the AFC. It is snug, but not too snug, and is a large oval across both sides.

BUILD DECK



Now that I gave the outside and looksy, it’s time to build. Inside the Beest, you will find a deck that looks a bit unique but not. It is a postless style deck with a halfpipe styled airflow wrapping around. The grub screws are allen, and they come in on the WRONG DAMN SIDE OF THE COILS. Yep, these come in sideways and will more than likely twist and mangle your coil during install, especially if the build is flat. I pre twisted some fused clapton and had no issues with it, but I always hate when even the most simple thing gets messed up on a rebuildable. Once you do get the coil in though, you will find that it is relatively easy there on out. The deck has plenty of room for the builds I went for (3mm fused claptons or twisted flat Badazd coils). Wicking this one also is rather easy. Each side has a large wicking slot to tuck the cotton in place perfectly. I left my cotton up off the bottom quite a bit and I never had issues with leaking or dry hits at all.

AIR FLOW



Nothing too crazy to see here. The Beest has a halfpipe shaped airflow and resembles some other RTAs on the market. This half pipe is also ported with several small holes to smooth it all out. At the base of the RTA are two large openings for adjustment which meet right under the deck and up to the coils. Airflow is smooth, and has a decent range of direct lung level. It isn’t a super airy RTA even when wide open, and it tends to vape rather efficiently at medium wattage ranges from 55-75w.

HOW IT VAPES / FINAL THOUGHTS





After testing out my first THC rebuildable, what do I think? Their presentation and overall packaging is legit. I loved opening the RTA up and it definitely built anticipation up. I like the styling of this one. It isn’t a game changer, and it’s kind of been done before, but they made a decent little RTA here. It seems that most of the rebuildables I am into are massive, so it was refreshing to grab a compact little guy to vape with. Even though there isn’t a lot of WOW factor with the Beest RTA, it executes several aspects very well. For starters, it’s compact, but the bubble still offers 4.5ml of capacity. The top cap has a very satisfying thread count to it, which reveals some massive fill ports. The wicking is a breeze, and it actually vapes pretty well. It is nice to get good performance with less than 70w for sure. However, with all good comes some bad. The most obvious is the build deck screw placement. They come in sideways and are either going to mangle coils or not secure that well. The second thing I don’t like is the Ultem drip tip. This is very 2017 and I am not a fan. Another con is that the bubble glass is made of polycarbonate which is known to crack with citrus flavored liquids. The last con is that it doesn’t offer anything really different. It’s fine, but it doesn’t amaze. It could have been released a couple of years ago and fit right in with that crowd. It’s a decent RTA for what it is, and some of you may love it, I’m just not super impressed or excited by it.

It may be posted somewhere here & I missed it (as I do most things) - just is the same with the hype around SS430... Here I am going to order another 3000 ft of my trusty standby - SS316L (24g) and I'm not seeing it listed - but the 430 is everywhere, incl pre-order. While I should be ok w most change, I do tend to stick with what I know I like best - mostly bc Ive wasted sooo much $$ over the past decade of vaping (when it just started to take off in 2010) & to be quite honest - Im sick if trying anything new anymore, just to be disappointed OR fall 8n love with something that turns out to be a short lived trend & then you cant find it anymore! Argh! Don't ya just hate that?!

So it had taken me all this time to find a few setups I like - and I am a huge MTL-er.... I smoked stupid, stanky .... cigs for sooo long & was lucky to switch over to vaping - literally overnight... still have the carton of Marlboro Lights in the freezer, that I bought the very day before getting my 1st really old school ecig the next day. The rest is history, as they say.
I don't sub-ohm or whatever else is hip these days - I don't really care about how huge my clouds are... I just want to enjoy what Im vaping & the method of how I get there has been cemented a few times - before they go and discontinue my tested & true good old stand-bys (boo hoo). So now I have my 'newer' old school setup & made sure to buy handfuls of the MTL RDTA's I use with 1 of my several never leak squonkers (in most every color & battery capacity) & am very happy with making a simple single coil - like a 3/4 wrap approx .18-.21ohms., that I burn at a pretty low wattage & always get really good flavor out of my juice without burning thru a bottle in no time. At this point, I also have no desire to really use anything but SS. My taste is very sensitive, & kanthal has a funny taste to me, nickel just scares me (makes me think of #2 pencils for some reason) & won't bother with titanium, etc. Maybe I'm mental, but SS to me, just screams CLEAN, unadulterated taste & overall safer than experimenting with anything else. Again - it may be that Im just mental - so not necessarily in the mood to hear any arguments on the subject, trying to sell me on something else/ new, or whatever...
JUST really very curious as to exactly what the difference is (in any & every way) btwn SS316L & SS430... Ive been reading , but really havent found any arguments as to why one is better (or different) over the other, etc. SOOO... what's the next best thing (or what should actually be the 1st thing!) to find answers? Ask the people! So thats what aim doing here - ASKING YOU GUYS as to what your opinions are on these 2, experience, whatever... I am just really really curious to know!

The Tank Nautilus GT:



This new product is the result of the collaboration between the Chinese company Aspire that produces it and the German company Smokestore that has designed it beautifully in an impeccable way, drawing inspiration from its Taifun GT.

The refil is facilitated by a quick quarter turn opening, the edges are finely knurled to facilitate grip with the fingers, aligning the two reference points and pulling the Top cap.
It is better to tighten the upper part of the tank to prevent unscrew during the refil operation, the buttonholes are slightly recessed, which complicates things a bit with the larger spouts, nothing serious, even if the operation is a little simpler with thinner ends.

The top-cap is particular in that it includes a fireplace with 2 o'ring which positions itself precisely and with excellent seal inside the coil during the closing / tank phase.



The air flow is adjustable in 5 positions and uses a pleasant and qualitative mechanism with a lot of sound clicks at each click, the holes are respectively 1, 1.2, 1.6, 1.8 and 2.5mm, this wide choice allows you to adapt the GT to various resistances and wattages, the shot that follows is precise and without drafts, ranging from an almost Flavor to a restricted MTL shot, perhaps another additional 0.7 or 0.8 mm hole would have satisfied even the most fond of super shooting closed.



The Coil of Nautilus:



The Nautilus GT is compatible with all the Aspire resistors made for its predecessors over the past few years, this does not surprise me as this type of coil, although starting to be aged, still proves to be at the top, so their success is widely deserved it's confirmed.

This Tank is supplied with a pre-assembled 0.7 ohm Mesh coil, suitable for a vaping in restricted flavor between 20 and 25 W, spare included in the package there is another 1.6 ohm coil for a vape very narrow between 7 and 11 W, of course the other resistors available on the market for the entire Nautilus and Triton Mini range can also be installed.



The appearance of the new Nautilus GT is undoubtedly very similar to that of Smokestore's Taifun, the diameter of 24mm and the respectable height of 54mm, would give hope for a capacity greater than 3ml that can contain its tank, fortunately and not displeased no one Aspire has added to the option line an "extension" kit called "Nautilus GT PSU Tube" which increases its capacity to 4.3ml and which I have already ordered.



Nautilus GT in conclusion:

By handling the Nautilus GT, you immediately realize its good build quality:

The first Nautilus was born in 2014, immediately placing itself at the top of its category, it has helped to stop smoking many people in the world (including me) this is its latest and refined evolution, clearly compared to the recent predecessors of the Aspire house (see Nautilus 2s ) having the GT the same type of coil the aromatic level is not that it has increased so much, but we can absolutely affirm the fact that the performances are now much more stable, thanks to many small improvements not only aesthetic, for example the new system coil / chimney connection or the air adjustment ring which, compared to the standard of the other atom on the market, is a true jewel of precision and draft-tightness.
Being offered at a price in line with much cheaper products this Nautilus GT becomes a very, but very interesting object!

Hi everyone, so I was advised to post this here. I've recently brought a did starter kit from Drip Hacks which seems to be very good and have heard nothing but great reviews of their stuff. I did everything on the instructions and the recommended steeping is 7 days. This is a tropical mix but after 7 days it's still cloudy and has a slightly off smell.
