Whats your favorite battery and charger combination for you device?

I am currently shopping for a 18650 battery and a compatible charger for my Vamo V3. I'm hoping to get everything from amazon since I have Prime. I know a lot of you guys have bought plenty of batteries and chargers, so to save myself the guessing work, Im gonna ask you pros.

Im trying to get 1 x 18650 3000mah+ battery with a compatible charger. Any suggestions? I need one thats gonna last all day running at least 4v.

And, also let me know about any horror stories with bad batteries/ charger. Ill put that on my ban list and it should save alot of people alot of headaches.

I'm very happy with Panasonic CGR18650CH's and Pila charger.

Be careful where you buy the Panasonics. I got imitations sold as Panasonics from a vendor here. The vendor was NOT Super T Manufacturing, who sell the real thing. That's where I will buy my next ones.

The Panasonic NCR18650PB 2900 mAh hybrid batteries are also becoming popular.

The top two battery chargers are the Pila and the Xtar VP1. The i2 & i4 Nitecore Intellichargers are decent less expensive chargers.

I'd be extremelywary of buying batteries from Ebay or Amazon. Popular mod batteries are being conterfeited by Chinese distributors using inferior quality rejects. I suggest buying from trusted vendors like RTD Vapor, Lighthound, Orbtronics, or Super T Manufacturing for genuine name brand batteries.

Avoid batteries under the names of TrustFire, UltraFire, or SureFire. Never use generic batteries, or un-protected ICR li-ion batteries.

I suggest you educate yourself by learning about the types of batteries available for mods in the below articles before purchasing a battery or charger. Regulated mods like the Vamo perform most optimally when you use an IMR "high drain" battery. Protected ICR batteries often do not have the burst capacity of an IMR for their buck-boost circuitry which allows them to make high voltage.

In my Vamo V3, I rock the Efest from rdtvapor and a Nitecore i4 from amazon (you can get them from rdtvapor as well)

Batteries : Efest IMR 18650 Flat Top
I get 2 days of pretty substantial vaping on these batteries, have 2 so I don't really drain the one all the way in a 24hr period, I have a cycle of one day vape, swap out, charge, this way thru the cycle I don't drain the batteries down to the lowest point, when you don't discharge Li Ion all the way the recharge cycle life expectancy go WAY up!

I use PILA charger and AW batts. 18 months and absolutely no problems

I like drop in chargers, I can't stand having to push aside little spring loaded do hickeys

There is a chance that battery might not work with your vamo. I'm sure it is a great battery to use with a flashlight but it has a protection circuit built in to it that might conflict with the vamo's protection circuitry. For the price you could have an AW IMR or other name brand IMR that will definitely work with it and most any other mod you might decide you need along the way.

That says it is a protected Li Ion battery. You need an unprotected IMR high drain battery for optimal results in a regulated mod like the Vamo. You didn't read the articles in the links I provided.

I just got an Efest LUC charger and its day and night difference from my Trusftire TR001. The TR001 charges very slowly which some say prolongs the battery life but there is a point of diminishing returns. 10 to 14 hours to charge a 2000 MAH battery is much longer than necessary. The LUC will do the same job in 2 to 3 hours which still puts it within a range that preserves the battery life.
The voltage status display is nice as it gives you a better idea of the battery charge status, its not perfect since its measuring the voltage while its charging so the reading will be slightly higher than if you took the battery off the charger and measured it.

There's my charger recomendation the Efest LUC, as far as batteries are concerned stick with Efest and AW but what ever you decide make sure their IMR batteries not ICR.
