Notification Emails keep coming

I've received over 100 Notification Emails in the last few hours. Some are from threads that have been closed for a week or more. Some are for current threads I'm subscribed to, but for posts that are several days old. Some are for PM's that have long since been read.

I know a couple of other people have seen the same thing today.

How widespread is it? Is there a fix? What's the cause?

It's happening to me too. Lots of them are old, not new ones, dated 11/14 - 12/01. I know some are repeats. Then I'm still getting new notifications too.

I've been getting non-stop emails for the last few hours as well. Hang tight while we figure out what's going on.


Edit: I've posted the issue up for the coders. I'll keep y'all posted on progress.

Got an explanation. There was an issue with one of the servers holding up emails. That issue was resolved, so all the backed up email traffic is getting pushed out. It should stop soon.

Crap, just got another 20 in the last 13 minutes.

Don't know which ones are real and which aren't, so I just keep deleting them all.

Now I don't feel like the Lone Ranger. Someone had posted a thread a few days ago about the emails not coming and instead of me starting a whole new thread I just added I too was having this problem and since there was no reply I didn't know what to do.

Thank the lawd it's not just me. It's quite annoying, but I guess it isn't the worst thing, it's just that with my email I get an alert sound, so my email ding has been going berserk.

Been happening to me, too... but they don't seem to have been backed up... most of them are dupes of ones I've already received!!

At first I thought maybe the ECF had taken the Holiday's off, since most of them seemed to be from 3-5 days ago... LOL!!
