The 1.0 has a different look. From Provape's site:

That's picture of the Provape-1, the mechanical mod ProVape makes. I believe the op was asking the difference between the two Provari versions v1.0 and v2.0. No physical difference between the two; the difference is in the chip inside.

The flash right in the front makes it a little difficult to tell, if it is a matte black then it is a V2 the first ones where black chrome and they had paint problems the finish wore of very quickly.I believe the V1 only came with red led's, that would be another way to tell.

Which ever version that is it seems to be in pristine condition very well cared for so you surely didn't go wrong buying her.

Last night, I bought the used one that made me start the thread.

The one I bought looks like the one in BillB's pic above. It goes up to 6.0 volts (so v2.0, I assume), and has a blue LED. It has the extended end-cap for the 18650, and doesn't have the regular end-cap, which is fine for my purposes. It came with a used 18650, and I bought one from Good Vapes, my local vape shop which sells Provari's. I spent $100 on it, and it appears to be a 2.0 in good shape, so I'm happy with it.

BillB, after asking around, my understanding is that the main difference in 1.0 or 2.0 is that the 2.0 will go to 6.0 volts, and the 1.0 will go to 5.0 volts. As far as I know, there is no way to tell from a picture, you need to click through the voltage settings to find out.

The difference in the 2.0 and 2.5 is purely cosmetic, with the Provari name being embedded into the 2.5 version, and just printed on the 2.0 version (which apparently had a tendency to rub off.)

In another thread, I was told this :

V1 ranges between 3.3 volts--6.0 volts with a 2.5 amp limit...
V2 ranges between 2.9 volts--6.0 volts with a 3.5 amp limit...

Mine goes down to 2.9, so I'm pretty sure it's a 2.0. Mine also has a blue LED, and I'm told that in the Provari 1.0's, you could only get them in red.
