Not a bad report.
I still think the gateway thing is ridiculous however. I fail to understand how a qualified and intelligent man would think that a youth might wake up and think,"I've got a good idea, instead of vaping today I'm going to spend 15x more money, on something that tastes like crap, makes me stink, and is going to kill me." It's not going to happen is it; the youth will vape.
The youth will smoke analog cigs first if anything.. since all they see when they walk into a local supermarket, gas station, bar, club is analog cigs. The ones we are running away from. I work in a supermarket.. we sell a LIMITED amount of disposable e-cigs.. with the analog cigs in plain sight next to the asperines and lottery tickets and the e-stuff out of sight
Lets not forget what gets kids smoking.. peer pressure. On school.. because its what all the other kids do. Or at home from parents smoking analog. Unless everyone starts mass vaping they wont all jump on the vaping train.
After that comes the vaping.. then they choose to not inhale over 4000 chemicals and whatever they put in those things. But by then they will have been exposed to analog cigs and the dangers that come with them. But by then they wont be youths.
Found this clip on Euro News and posted it too before I saw yours...sorry Julie.
Still if this is representative of the general opinion the educated public will take of e-cigarettes then may be it will moderate the ability of the Big Ps and the MEPs in their pockets to implement this crazy piece of legislation......I hear France is to submit a legal challenge.
In the Netherlands we have a saying: "It's only after the calf has drowned that the well is closed up."
Of course all these big media now flocking behind us is a great thing. But the damage is already done (the calf has already drowned)...
