Hi,
New here and have been looking around the forums for a bit which helped me make a decision on which e-cig to buy. I ordered a PCC and a shorty battery from Vapor4Life. The package works great and they threw in a few extra cartomizers with my order, so thank you.

I recently ordered a batch of blank cartomizers from elsewhere that are supposed to be compatible with the Vapor King batteries. It seems like the Vapor4Life cartomizers have a groove cut out in the center. Is this to lock users into using their cartomizers? It costs just as much money for Vapor4Life to ship to me as it does to buy the cartomizers.

Anyone have any suggestions and thanks for you help.

I wouldn't deal with them. They sent me a bad PCC that blew two batteries out and refuse to give me my refund. I have since moved on to doing business with MadVapes. Get you a box mod or VapeStack there, a few packs of reasonably priced 510 cartos once he gets them in, and a couple bottles of his VERY well priced 50ml bottles of juice (at $10.99 50ml is a STEAL!) and you'll be set up to vape for the next 3 or 4 months. Plus his shipping is free over $45 and only $2.99 otherwise.

Cool thanks for that, I'll look into them.

U talking about that small hole right? According to a video that I saw on Youtube, it's purpose is for the air flow.

The small hole is for the air to travel through but on top of that is a small recessed groove with small lettering on either side of the airhole. One side says "V4L" and the other says "0510". Does anyone have any experience with not being able to find 3rd party replacement cartridges with the newer Vapor King models?

The "V4L", is just branding, and the "0510", if I am not mistaken, is the production date.

You'll be fine with the V4L gear, and you can still use any compatible kr808d-1 cartos with them. Don't know what the Iceman's issues were with his batteries, but customer service is great at V4L, and quite a few others will ratify that claim.

I don't have any problems with Vapor4Life, and all equipment from the manufacturers on these forums seem to break down at some point, their stuff seems sturdy and well made. I am thoroughly enjoying my experience so far.

I already ordered blank KR808D-1 cartomizers from another retailer and it seems as though everything is the same except for the groove on top of the air hole. This makes the blank cartomizers I just bought kind of useless because it doesn't have that groove and no air is getting through the battery. I would just like to know if I need specifically need to order their cartomizers, because I don't really want to make the mistake again as I have just bought a ton of juice from all over. Thanks for you help!

Robert_M,

Are you talking about the rectangular groove, on the battery side of the cartomizer?

If so, I have several manufacturers worth of cartos and all of them have a groove. Just so happens that the V4L prem, Cools, and Vapor9's turbos are my favorites. (all of which are grooved).

Without that groove no air will flow on a manual battery. Still will on an auto, just harder draw.

On Icemans issue, quite surprised. I never heard of V4L turning down a warranty. Quite the contary actually. They are usally no questions asked.

Max

Who did you buy the KR808D1 cartomizers from that would not work with the V4L batteries that you have? I have a 510 and a V4L ecig. I find that it is a lot easier to get supplies for my 510 at great prices than my V4L. I noticed the horizontal cut you mentioned, and noticed that a lot of other companies selling cartomizers for the KR808d1 do not have these cuts. I have been looking at places to buy replacement cartomizers and don't want to end up with useless cartomizers. It seems like myvaporstore.com has the best prices on this style of cartomizers, but again, if they won't vape without that horizontal cut, they will be worthless.
