Can someone please tell me if there is an art to gettIng the tube onto the reo nipple without splitting it?

It's unbelievably tight.
Lube the tube up with some juice prior to installation and it is also easier to install with the bottle detached...

If I buy a first run P 67 I'll probably add some Italia bottles to the order. Not because I really need them, more to support Rob's stocking them. I have never had any failure issues with the stock bottles he includes, and have a large stash of them. I dedicate joose in my Reos so almost never have a need to replace any of them. It's not a problem for me to squonk them dry either. Add that I'm seldom far from refill bottles to keep them filled. Because I use a lot of joose every day/night it seems like one or more is always needing to be refilled though, especially the mini bottles. With my builds and long DLH's I make short order of < 3 mils of joose, and < 6mls doesn't last all that long either.

I finally caved in and bought them from Modmaster Rob. They definitely squonk quickly and drain quicker then the other bottles. The tubes in my opinion are too weak. I already had to replace two tubes on one of my reos. The tears occurred in almost the exact same place. On the other reo the same tube has remained tear free? So now scrolling the internet to get replacement tubes for them.

No a lot of seller's of 2mm id / 4mm od high heat high strength silicon food grade tubing. My ohms at the low point are around 0.56 but usually around the 0.65 mark. 27 gauge Kanthal, 2.5 mm duals.

The best way I found to get the tube on the nipple is a little juice inside the tube and gently screw it in by hand with as little force as possible so the tube is not bending against the nipple I think that is how I got the tear. Then slide the cap on or have the cap near the bottom of the tube so you can fanagle (not sure if that is a real word) the tube onto the nipple.

@M4rtin, I have some tubing. PM me your address and I'll stick a foot of it in an envelope for you.

P.S. I have one REO that kept tearing a hole in my tubing at the exact same place several times...it was right below the end of the 510 connection. Anyway, one day I smoothed out the edges of the 510 nipple with a nail file and problem solved. I've never had any problem with the tubing on the Italian (new) bottles. You could just have a burr or a sharp edge on the 510 nipple.

Your the best! Nothing like a fellow reonaut coming to the rescue! A million Likes!

I believe that is what caused it because when i used a q tip to clean the nipple off, some of the q-tip caught on the edge of it.

I can think of 3 or 4 applications where this would be the recommended protocol ;)

Glad you figgered that out. And JC glad you mentioned that. Haven't had any issues yet with tube tearing, but will keep that in mind. (hopefully). :)

Good timing on the reopening of this Eric.

After procrastinating for 2-3 years I'd guess, when it came to third party squonk bottles for the Reos it has been a "no thank you, the standard Reo bottles work just fine for me, and I have a two lifetimes supply of them".

Well, never say never... I have some silicone bottles coming to try out. These are replacement bottles for the YFTK SVA 75W mod. I like the idea of these better than those where the cap treads onto the bottles themselves. With these a large top flange on the bottle itself is trapped between the threaded cap and a threaded ring on the neck of the bottle. A no cross threading, no leaks thing. They may be as soft as a babies azz, but these shouldn't have to be babied like the others.

Have five coming for the five P67's... I'm still skeptical they are needed for my uses, but we'll see.

I got a couple of those. I like much about them but come the cold, I wonder if my 80/20 VG/PG juice will move up and down the feed tube. They are very squishy.
