Don't buy any starter kit. It will be better to piece together stuff yourself IMO.

1 pair of gloves isn't enough. buy a box for like $5. I like the pipette pump from OSDIYS, though it is a little more expensive. The cheap disposable pipettes are worthless and I rarely find myself using syringes at all. I would get multiple 10ml pipettes, or at least one to dedicate to VG. Just buy a bigger amount of PG/VG from somewhere (PA probably), unless you think there is a great %chance you will try DIY and stop.

All of the kits I've seen are overpriced with a poor selection of what you'll need. Visit this thread for a good discussion of items you'll need & purchase them separately along with a tool or tackle box & you'll be good to go:

Also, check out this thread for flavor info:

And, this thread for a great eJuice calculator:

You might want to check out the kits at DIY FlavorShack -- DIY Flavor Shack by E-Cig Smoke Store. They have a pretty good selection of what you need to get going. Of course you still have to buy your flavorings and will at some point need to replace the nic sol'n, the VG or PG or both. But, I thought they were very handy when I started. Plus the support is great when you have questions..... they don't make you feel dumb or belittle you.
The kits save you having to look all over for the various parts you need. They come in one nice box.
Just my two cents worth.......

The same thing is true for their kits. Get a tool or tackle box/organizer locally for $5-10. Places like this are fine if you want a limited and overpriced way into DIY. I'm sure she is nice but $ talks. Their price on pre-mixed nic is outrageous too.
