Hey guys, most of the info floating around on these is in suppliers forums, figured I would post my quasi review here.
First a little background, Iv’e been vaping for about 6 months, my devices have been an njoy 2n1 (rn4081), a Tornado tank (eGo-T), various 510 attys used for dripping, and a puck style higher voltage unit.
I’ve wanted a bottom feeder\juice box type device for a while, and ultimately would love a REO or MonkeyBoxx or Ali, but with times a little tough with regards to money, I started looking at my other options.
I was thinking about doing a little “do it yourself” mod, but came across the Boge Revolution V2 (2.1 actually), and figured that at the price ($45 - $50) even if it ended up being junk, it would be a good platform to mod from. The kit comes with the unit itself (built in batteries), a 10ml feeder bottle, a usb charger and cable, and 5 empty Boge cartomizers, for $45 to $50.
Watching the two decent reviews I could find of it, I was a little concerned about not being able to use all my joye 510 attys without pulling the center pin out a bit, but I have not had any problem with any of my joye 510 attys, they all fire up great.
Got it in today, inspected everything first, and filled the bottle part way up with some 70/30 vg/pg 555 from FSUSA and threw on a regular joye 510 I had been using on my eGo stuff, works great, no tweaking required to the atty, no bad taste.
Then I tried a LR de-bridged 510 joye I had been using on eGo stuff, also worked great, no problems, excellent vapor.
The cartos it comes with are empty so I filled one up with some of my 70/30 555, and put it on, also worked fine.
I'm not a big fan of cartos (but to be fair, I really haven't tried many) and find that the regular 510 attys produce much more vapor than these boge cartos do. I really have to hold the power down for a while to get a good cloud from the cartos, not so much from the regular joye 510 atty, and obviously the LR 510 atty blows them all away. The cartos taste fine however.
I mostly plan on using attys with this, and so far they are working great, but more time is needed to get a full take on it, initially though, I have to say this thing is far exceeding my expectations!
If anything the joye 510's seem to thread in deeper and better then the boge cartos it came with!
I have been using a LR joye 510 on it all day, and its hitting like a champ. The feed system seems to be working great, it took me no time to get the hang of it, pretty much just tip it over a bit, squeeze gently for 4 seconds or so, flip over and vape till it starts tasting dry again.
Also on the couple of reviews I have seen of the V2 they say the bottom cap for the bottle area comes off really easily (in a bad way), mine does not, it stays on very tight, so that is good.
I'm a happy camper!
The unit I got is the “2.1” version of the V2, which the main difference is that there is two 700 mah in parallel to give 1400 mah total. I am not sure if they tweaked anything else or not, but based on the early reviews of the V2, I think they may have at least tightened up the production a bit.
Also the V2 had a "negative ion air purifier" setting on it, which is obviously a "wtf?" kind of thing. They removed the negative ion generator part of it to fit the extra battery in, but left the flashing leds, so you can still "talk to aliens" as one video reviewer put it.
The unit feels great in the hand, is light weight but seems relatively solid, and I think looks quite nice, good button, huge 10ml bottle, 1400mah, for $45 your getting quite the setup.
I am very pleased with it so far, but I have only had it for about 6 hours, I will certainly update this as I get a little more time in with the unit.
At $45 - $50, I don't think you can go wrong with this thing, it would have cost me more then that to build one myself, and it certainly wouldn't have looked as nice.
So far so good!
