Nexxtech wire cutters, and it punches the perfect hole as u can see in the picture the tip of the teeth on the cutters are only so long that it makes just a surface hole

Thanks! Looks like it may be a Canada tool though. I did find what I think will be comparable from Klein over on Amazon that has great reviews. I think I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the tip!

i think any wire cutters that look like the picture will work definetly as long as it has all the same size's of gauged wire to cut should be fine, good luck!

Clever. So now we have the carto jig idea for drilling or dremelling, or the quick 'n easy way using wire strippers. How does it work with that size hole? Doesn't look to be too big.

Wow, just when I thought the jig was an awesome idea. I've had the ability to punch my cartos all this time and didn't know it. It's like the ruby slippers from the Wizard of Oz.

I wanted to thank you for the advice on using a self tapping screw. It's so fast, so much better than a nail or an awl. I punched a whole bunch of them last night in no time at all.

Most strippers (wire strippers that is) don't have sharp enough points because the points are not the actual working part of the tool when used as intended (to strip wire).

Now that you mention that, I'm thinking the pair I have at home are not sharp like the ones in your link. Oh well, I have my punch and jig, which I love!

The teeth on mine are pretty pointy and sharp , i would imagine other brands would be the same? And ive actually done it with nail and hammer and this way and it does a good job of non-caving the sides. The hole is a good size , i used it for 2 days and it feeds the juice really well. If you have the jig already this ideas not for u , but if ur lazy ... and ur modder like me lol then this is the way lol

I don't have a jig as I just made my first tank mod a week ago. I didn't even know there was a jig. I just used a small drill bit to make the hole and a nail to make it larger. This would be MUCH easier if I can find some that work
