Hi Everyone

Our response to the article printed in the Independent and details of the lab results carried out by Hertfordshire Trading Standards can be found on our news page here:

** UPDATED ** NEWS : E-Cigs.co.uk, Online Store

In the future, we will be commissioning our own tests on random batches of PVLiquid to ensure it's continued quality and, to further ensure that our packaging and labelling continues to meet the strict guidleines set out.

It should also be noted that although the tests were commissioned by Hertfordshire Trading Standards, this does not mean that they endorse or approve our products.

Thanks for reading

Good stuff, Smokester! (just like your juice :D)

Was wondering if there was an explanation of the benzene and also the 9% nicotine

GC-MS isn't very accurate for determining concentrations - they did an accurate nicotine assay test afterwards that showed 3.1% nicotine.
They didn't find benzene, they found bis(phenoxyphenoxy) Benzene - can't find much info on it but seems harmless enough.

happily

Thanks everyone :)

Unfortunately we can't answer/comment on, the technical questions on any single component found in the liquid (we're not the experts), we can, however, say that the sole purpose of the test was to classify liquid toxicity so that we can label and package accordingly.

As you can see, any component found to be classified as toxic has been clearly highlighted along with some helpful information regarding possible future classification of the other components (which IMHO is great).

We have published these results so that you, the consumer, can make an informed purchasing decision regarding the products we provide.

As far as nicotine content is concerned, this will be addressed in our updated labels and packaging later this month.

Hope this helps.
