My brother just got a job working for a company thats building 400 display shelves a day for Blu.The job started last week here in Richmond Va and hes looking at least another 2-3 weeks. He also met the president of Blu who said this is going to be a HUGE push for them.

400 units a day X 5 days a week = 2000 units X 4 weeks = 8000 display units.Thats a lot of electronic cigarettes.

didn't some big tobacco company just buy out Blu??

heck, they have the $$ to push them,,,,,,,

well, the only good thing about those cheap e-cigs, is they get people onto the IDEA of vaping,,,,,,,,then they google, find THIS site, and REALLY get down to business :)

my thoughts exactly. and wish they would work on their flavor...everything they put out tastes like their tobacco flavor with little variance..see fieldofvapor's review on Blu...Blu can't even nail menthol without it tasting like tobacco

Or decide that the poor performance means it's all a scam and continue to smoke. 10% at best would do more research and find their way here IME.

Lorillard bought them, and my brother did mention Walgreens and convenience stores.

Wonder how many people will try electronic cigarettes for the first time and then get disgusted with the Blus and never try anything else?

At least 50% if not more is my guess. This site would have had 5M members by now otherwise.

Hopefully they'll end up here. Maybe if we see somebody buying .... at the gas station/store we should nudge em towards this place too.

Untold thousands have switched to vaping with a blu.
Blu today is either the largest or one of the largest marketers of e-cigs.
They've got to be doing something right !!
:)

Most e-smokers feel more comfortable vaping in public with
an analog appearance PV.

I follow the threads in the E-cigarettes in Public forum.
One of the most common concerns is the looks and comments
from others in public when they see a PV with an appearance
of something right out of a Star Wars bar !
:p

I originally switched to vaping with an analog shaped PV
and that's a very common story here on the ECF.

Many who find the blu not satisfying have found other PVs
and Not just because they found the ECF ... They Googled
electronic cigarettes or a vaping friend suggested alternatives.

BTW ... blu is very well aware they need to continue to improve
their products. However, their marketing plan targets those
who prefer a PV with an analog appearance and prefer to
buy supplies in stores ... down the street.

My main "go-to" is an eGo. If there was a store down the street
carrying the supplies I prefer ... I wouldn't be shopping on-line.

Your "guess" is about as helpful as short pants in snow.

I can name 5 people that I know of personally who have asked about my Provari and when I explain its an electronic cigarette they just shrug and say I tried one of those from a convenience store and didnt like it. .....usually quickly followed by them lighting up a cigarette.

I dont think the estimate of 50 percent is that far off the mark at all.

Most of the people I know who actually want to quit are HEAVY smokers who have smoked for years and a Blu just isnt going to cut it for them.

Seriously, folks, do not speak for all of us. I have been trying various set ups for 3 1/2 years now, searching for the e cig that looked and performed like a real cig. I have spent thousands of dollars, and the truth is I still want an e cig that looks and performs like a regular cig. I have tried nearly everything out there, and still I want an e cig that looks and feels like a Marlboro. So far, the only thing that has come close is the Elite by CigEasy and now this marvelous new one from White Cloud: on sale this weekend for $29.95 for two batteries and some amazing long lasting cartomizers. Not interested in the big batteries or other crack pipe looking devices. I am grateful for companies like Blu who continue to improve in the products that many of us want to buy: e cigs that look, feel and taste like what we are used to: a cigarette looking device that can mostly replace our love of Marlboros.
