Hi Kiwivap - I have no experience at all with rebuildable atomizers and to be honest wouldn't have the time to explore it. However that AGA-T+ looks interesting. Can you explain more how it works - there's no wick then? Does that mean it will last as is for quite a while without needing to do anything to it or replace it, and the vape is on a par/better than eg a vivi nova? Does it come pre-built so I just need to attach it to the vamo and do nothing else with it? I live in New Zealand so I'd probably need to get it shipped internationally from somewhere but would need to be sure it would solve my issues once and for all lol
I mostly agree with Kiwi and the others, I think your device is fine, you just need a new delivery system. I've tried, and hated the Vivi's, muted flavors, burnt taste, I just never could get the flavor I was used to with them. Not my cup of tea!
I'd strongly suggest you try a carto tank of some type before changing everything out. There are just too many happy users out there for it to be a device issue, and what you describe is a delivery system problem.
The AGA-T uses either a stainless steel or silica wick that is put in the tank and then a coil is built around the top of it. When they work, they work great, when they don't, you'll be pulling your hair out! I own one, still can't rebuild a coil on it, my buddy comes over and he can build one up like it's nothing, and he's not even a vapor! As you said you don't have much time to put into it, I wouldn't recommend this for you.
I'l suggest a carto tank, there are tons of dripping atty's if you think you might like that, it's not for me, I like to fill and go, not take a few hits, then refill. There are standard cartos, some of the larger ones can go for around 6 hours before needing refilled. Really, there are a lot of things you can try to improve the experience, but I don't think changing out the device is the way to go right now.
Is your VAMO tuned to Vavg or Vrms? This could be why you are burning your wicks.
I think this is another valid question, check and make sure it's set to rms, this makes a much more stable vape and might help with your problem.
