  • Same here, do Concierge nursing and especially with patients with reactive airway of some sorts just the smell could send them in to a resp. crisis...that and hell I know better worked for five years at MD Anderson Cancer Center and seen enough...nicotine's a horrible beastie!!

that's where I'd first seen the eciggies about a year and a half or so...this RN I passed my pre op patient to..snuck out this cute pink Provari *puff puff* smelled great and she was good to go...I was like "ooooh what is that?!" I wasn't ready to quit just yet, but my finace' and I quit together which has really helped

in your dreams are you still smoking a ciggie? I've had a couple of those this weekend..get up and get that 24mg out again and a cup of strong coffee *lol*

    Take care!!

Welcome to the forum Ginny. I'm about in the same spot you are in professionally and in quitting smoking. I'm happy to see more health care people coming into the Forum. I work in a cath lab, and I was always concerned that my patients could smell tobacco on me, and now don't have that concern. Keep up the good work, for you and everyone your life touches.
